You mean “as of now they don’t.” That could easily change in the future. This is the same thinking as “Orcs will never be able to stand up straight.”
Keep dreaming
during one of the lay line mission on surammar you encounter a blue dragon that fights along you with the form of a blood elf also for the discipline priest and the arcane mage artifact quest there is another blue mage fighting in visage form
So dismissive and depressing. You sure are fun to be around…
Ah, I forgot about the Suramar ley lines quest (with Senegos’s daughter, right?) and I never did the Mage nor Priest Artifacts.
I could be wrong, that’s just how it looks to me. Regardless i think the larger more muscular body and more pronounced (or at least the option to have since more options are better than less in character creation) jaw or stronger jaw is the way to go. Certainly a beefier more Draconic look.
For me the Dracthyr largely mimic the Draconians in Dragonlance. However it seems they decided to go with a more caster looking model with a lithe body like the Aurak when perhaps i would prefer the look of the Sivak as a more beefier option that as i said looks more Dragon and less lizardman.
I would love a more muscular look as the slender and somewhat disproportionate build of the current Dracthyr is off-putting for me.
I have no knowledge of Dragonlance, but the current Dracthyr look like slightly draconic versions of the lizardfolk in Divinity: Original Sin II.
It’s a stupid idea. Blizzard doesn’t want to do it. they won’t do it. I agree with their decision.
You want to play a dragon as an elf. if you want an elf you have 4 different ones to choose from. Blizzard wants dragons to be dragons
love that game.
Yup, I’m really digging that black version though.
I just dislike that there’s no melee options at all. I tend to play a lot more melee classes than ranged even though I started out as one.
The lack of any sort of melee and tank sucks. I’d like to play one, and I’ll likely even have an evoker, but not having the other classes doesn’t make a lot of sense, especially with the black flight not being represented.
Yup, it makes no sense saying they’re giving us the dragon fantasy and then leaving out most of the appearances the main dragon characters take.
Needs to be an expansion of options to include all the main races.
Yeah, I’m okay with it, I’d just have liked it more had they been young dragon instead of some experiment. A full dragon mount form would have made a lot more sense then. Plus the chance to have them as combat/druid forms.
There wasn’t even mention of abilities based off the black flight. Not having a tank spec based off it is just really weird, especially with how long people have been asking for similar for the Shaman…a earthwarder spec. They even say the dragons leave their home because of the decline in elemental magic…so why are they not shamans? Add a earthwarder spec and let that be one of the classes.
Having a talent option to go melee dps saves having to make a whole additional spec, if they were to have an Evoker tanking spec. 4 would have been fantastic, but a gladiator style option would work nicely, and that’s something I’d like to see return to warriors.
Seeing some examples would be great so they can get feedback. I’d like to see what they have in the works.
Really something I’d like to see change for shadowpriest and worgen as well.
Needs to be an on/off toggle, and then a right click to enable auto cast on combat and combat ending.
Let people play their characters how they want to.
Stop telling us how we can play our characters.
I’m tired of waiting years wanting something that should have been there from the start.
There’s no reason to restrict it.
There’s plenty of options, races, classes, customizations, etc that should have already been added to the game by now. Having a team dedicated to that would be great and be great for the game.
I’d much rather have resource spent on making this game better and attracting more players than some mobile game.
Agreed, the edit there looks a bit more like the male worgen/stoneborn body shape and would be a fantastic way to go about it. More options are always good.
I expect they all share a similar lineage.
They’ve already said they are having multiple options. They almost always do have a male and female shape. In this instance they’re free to be more androgynous so a lithe and a muscular option would be great.
So they’re giving us the dragon fantasy but not?
The fantasy of true form dragons not elves. They can’t realistically give us real dragons. This is their next best thing. They said they would want to but just can’t. They explained this
OK so you basically just proved his point your argument is that you are a yes man and will licked booby boots if blizzard dev said so. He is trying to bring arguments to why it is a good addition to have options so that everyone can enjoy the game but you can’t explain why it shouldn’t even if in the lore dragon can. I don’ t know how immersive it is to see walking dragons in storm wind and talking to vendors when the people of eastern kingdoms have suffered from the black flight tyranny for years.
But then they’re not allowing us to have the fantasy by restricting all the visage options.
I’d have preferred them to be juvenile dragons, it’d have been very doable, so the excuse they can’t falls flat.
And it’s your opinion. One not alone as other players express opinions similar to yours, but that doesn’t mean you are right.
I don’t want to work but I still do. Also, doesn’t mean they won;t in the future. What is a new feature coming in 9.2.5 that Ion didn’t want to do but they are doing now? Oh, right; cross-faction grouping. How about High Elven features on Blood Elves and Void Elves? That was something Blizzard didn’t want to do but then they did it… I know this will blow your mind, but things change. Or I guess more thematically appropriate: “Times change.” -Garrosh Hellscream
And if that decision changes as I have demonstrated?
Incorrect; I want to play an Evoker as a muscular dragon race, but if not that then a mortal race instead.
None of which can play as an Evoker.
And they still will be. What is the issue of adding more choices? Blizzard wanted Paladins to be Alliance and Shamans to be Horde but that changed.
If I think their idea is stupid I’m a boot licker. Does anyone know what that actually means.
True form dragons. the fantasy of being a dragon as a dragon. not an illusion form.
dude you are a troll do you know what options are or you just take pleasure at arguing nonsense
They need to give players the tools to play their character the way they want to, not dictate to the player how to play their character. This has been an ongoing problem.
Players telling the devs what they want, and the devs instead doing what they want instead of listening to the customers.
Having an opinion isn’t a troll
Which customers. the opinions on this are clearly mixed. If they said yes to every bad idea it would b e bad
no you are not having an opinion you purposely misinterpret what the op says, he didn’t ask to remove dracthyr or to makre dracthyr unplayble in combat form but to let players decide what there dragon fantasy fit the best for them and blood elf with horns is one of them
