Pre-Alpha Feedback: Dracthyr and Evoker

I couldn’t be bothered reading your entire post and I would be very much surprised if blizzard did either because it literally isn’t even alpha. They aren’t going to change things just for you prior to alpha.

Having a discussion on this now is pointless.

Then play as only Dracthyr. The option to play Evoker without playing Dracthyr does not exist, so adding an option to play in their humanoid visage for during combat opens up that restriction. They gain more uniqueness by having multiple appearances to play in at the base.

But not for the new class as it is locked to the Dracthyr race. This comment is completely mute.

Completely disagree, but you can have your opinion. I would rather start the discussion as early as possible to get as much information as possible and come up with the most amount of options then lose any of either because “you can’t discuss this thing until that arbitrary time comes!” This is the same argument that you cannot discuss holiday plans until the month of the holiday arrives. Why intentionally limit your time?

To be honest I kinda like that they are locked to only 1 class. Sinse well they know nothing of the world so it make no sense for them to know class yet.

They could of just hatched for all we know. But I think they may unlock new class later on once we start playing. Similar to allied races but in term of classes for them

That is what I believe now in regards to the race, and of course it is not completely out of the realm of possibility that Dracthyr could gain access to more classes in the future just like Evoker could be available to more classes in the future as well. Right now I think the best and easiest move for Blizzard is to add multiple body type options for Dracthyr or my personal preference to allow Dracthyr to fight in humanoid visage form but transform into Dracthyr form when the abilities require that model.

I would like that too. Sinse Im mostly healer. I personally would prefer heal in regular form more than in dragon. Also i think transmog are a bit limited for dragon form.

I would also like if they added more than just Human/BE shape tough.

Cause other race has been used also

Gnome aka chromie
NE almost all Green Dragonflight
Goblin aka 1 blue dragon from Mage class all during Legion

Yes, according to Tina Wang via BlizzPlanet interview the Dracthyr armor may only have helm, shoulders, tabards, and waist items universal (both Dracthyr and humanoid visage forms), then the remaining pieces to be what looks like helm, shoulders, and chest will be set appearances and colors that can be changed in the Barber Shop.

Agreed. The first change would be male Human and female Blood Elf just for parity’s sake.

There was also a red dragon using a Goblin visage in the Badlands tending to uncorrupted black dragon eggs before Deathwing killed her and destroyed all the eggs save for Wrathion’s. Then you have Kairoz using an Orc visage at the end of the Well of Eternity series. So I would like to see Human, Night Elf, Gnome, Orc, Blood Elf, and Goblin visages with maybe even Dwarves and Tauren then the eventuality of all races.

I do like the option to have the larger more pronounced Jaw shown in the drawing you have. I am surprised that they didn’t move more in that direction and i admit that the bodies and faces for the Dracthyr are a bit more lizard and a bit less Dragon because it lacks that heft and strength of the attributes like the face/jaw and lack of muscle mass.

Some of this might be from the use of the female Worgen Model but regardless it is a bit surprising. Especially looking at how Deathwing himself looks and his model that they wouldn’t have gone in a stronger more artistic/muscular direction. Perhaps there is time to improve it but my feedback would largely coincide with the schematic you have here.

I agree completely.

I think the base model is the female Dreadlord, but I could be wrong.

Agreed, and the option for this original version should stay for the many players that do like it.

Why would you care if people enjoy the “visage” form rather than dracthyr form why is it so taboo to play an elf with horns and scale and lizard eyes. Just that is more unique than most of the allied races. And a lot of people enjoy transmogs which will not be available on dracthyr so that’s another lair of customization taken away. The theme of the class is great the way it plays seems unique but only one race can play it so therefore it’s more than reasonable to have good customization.

They aren’t going to make two versions. they are doing their version. They have options for bodies and facial features. They will still mostly look like what they showed. There will be many options to make their face more to your liking.

Tina Wang already confirmed there is a bulkier version, so Blizzard did state there are two versions.

read my entire post. the bodies will be able to be a little bulkier or slender. It will still look like what they show. they will add options to their design

So what did you mean by your post? You are saying Blizzard won’t make two versions then acknowledge Blizzard is making two versions. Are you hung up on my wording? By “original version” I mean this thinner version of their body.

You stated the more artistic design in your opinion. I think you were referring to the zbrush one. correct me if I’m wrong

I stated just a generic “more body types”. Not sure what you got from that.

People act like dragons in wow never fought in “visage” form

Dragons do. Dracthyr won’t

I actually cannot list an instance off the top of my head, but even if they never did doesn’t mean they never can not to mention Dracthyr are not “true” dragons as mentioned by Wowpedia.

dude jsut go on the wiki it states that they are made of the essence of dragons and can shape shift just like real dragons that’s from blizzard not me
