Pray For The People Of Turkiye And Syria

Welcome to the internet where people are filled with this type of mentality.

I mean look at all the people wishing death upon people playing the new harry potter game. Crap they even made a site to track down streamers that play it lol.

Iā€™m indifferent on that outlook.

I feel bad for the people there and Iā€™ve also got my own problems to worry about mate. Not all of us can jump on a flight to some far off place to volunteer our services or send money each time there is a tragedy in the world and also shouldnā€™t be expected to.

People can say anything they want but they canā€™t run away from their actions.

That said, I feel like praying is fine. Thereā€™s nothing wrong with wanting to find support and empowerment. Just back it up with action.

Ah, the typical attack and play victim method. It doesnā€™t feel good to be called out now, does it? Maybe now you should think twice before calling someone else out.

Just know the difference between us was that I came to an innocent personā€™s defense as a result of you attacking them. THAT is what says a lot about our different views.

if you actually want to help actually donate to a group that is actually there doing actual work.

ā€œthoughts and prayersā€ help no one.

On the plus side, I think they can fix that Roman castle.

Thereā€™s a lot wrong with what you posted. When people are dying they arenā€™t treated well by society.

Attack? Where did I attack?

Did I call people names and tell them they must have suffered trauma and should be in an insane asylum because I didnā€™t like them not getting in line with my religious views?

Oh waitā€¦

Didnā€™t say I expected you to, nor did I ask anyone to.
I said if you want to help, actually help. Donā€™t pay lip service and ask others to join in to make yourself feel like you did something.

Itā€™s amazing to me that Christophobia is so prevalent. Itā€™s hammered into people by mass media and the education system (especially higher ed). Everything else is sacred and protected but Christianity is to be demonized at all times. Itā€™s abhorrent. Iā€™ll pray for them though. Even the lost are still loved by God.

Annnndd thatā€™s exactly your problem. Your head is so far up your own *** that you canā€™t even tell when youā€™re disrespecting someone. If youā€™re going to be disrespectful, at least admit it, donā€™t hide it. It makes you a coward. It doesnā€™t work in your favor. Again, I came to the OPā€™s defense. Iā€™ll just leave at this because clearly nothing will change by arguing online. I will say though, I feel terribly sorry for the people around you in your life.

Donā€™t think most people equate expressing sympathy to donating or volunteering. Would you rather people that arenā€™t going to do those things just be like ā€œSorry, Turkey, sucks to suck doesnā€™t it?ā€

no. Iā€™d tell someone of any religion the same thing. thoughts and prayers donā€™t actually help anyone other than the person doing them.

Yeah, I read that on Fox News, too.

Fuzzbutt linked an avenue to donate earlier in the thread. If you feel like donatimg maybe give the organization they linked a shot?

Again, pointing out someoneā€™s gross post on the forum vs all the nasty disrespectful stuff youve said directly to meā€¦

Keep telling yourself Iā€™m the jerk. Maybe if you pray it will come true.

There sure are a lot of people that arenā€™t actually going to donate or volunteer in here judging people for having the audacity to express empathy for the people over there.

Pretty ugly look.

Thanks! I will, and Iā€™ll also relink it since it was somewhat buried

I dunno it seems like they canā€™t help it or control themselves. Theyā€™ve been conditioned to be that way since childhood. Iā€™ll still pray for them though.
