IDK the details but a dragon themed class would be cool.
Future drakonid player checking in.
Dragonsworn would be WoW’s incarnation of the Dragon Disciple, if they chose to go in this direction:
I did a post awhile ago getting my thoughts out on the topic:
https://us.forums.blizzard.com/en/wow/t/next-hero-class-dragonsworn-or-why-bards-necromancers-and-tinkers-dont-work/167221
And there’s a really fleshed out concept over on the MMO-Champion boards:
Suffice it to say, I’m in.
The class from Dota comes to mind. Forget the name but he was that tank that turned into a dragon for his ultimate.
Would be a cool theme!
Basic old Dragon Knight.
I’ll take it.
The main draw for me is that, gameplay-wise, it’s a blank slate. The developers can do whatever they want to as long as they keep to the draconic theme. There are no loaded expectations, such as those that come with Tinker, Necromancer, or Bard. We could truly have a class designed for the modern incarnation of WoW with none of the hangups that most of the classes have from design decisions made decades ago.
I wanna be an empowered drakonid bard.
Picture General Drakkisath with a lute.
Dats me.
Final fantasy is that way👉
I’ll freely admit it - I’m a sucker for anything with dragons. Be it fantasy, legend, or “history,” I’ve never grown out of my fascination with the concept. And it is downright criminal that we’ve never had anything draconic playable, particularly given how intrinsically tied to Azeroth the Dragonflights are.
Dragoons are dragon slayers, and aren’t necessarily themselves draconic.
I’m not too particular, but the next class released should be 2 tank specializations with different ways to tank.
Just have dragons be a playable race.
JUST HAVE DRAGONS BE A PLAYABLE RACE.
You could roll any race as a dragon, pick a flight for color/aesthetic, and they would have dragon-themed racials, a few dragonlike addons like wings, horns and claws in combat like Worgen, and their travel form would be fully draconic. Boom. Done.
This,
I like Dragons I don’t want to kill them. Way to miss the mark Final Fantasy
Wrathion lays eggs, Anduin fertilizes them. They get blessed by the aspects. Boom - Dragon clerics.
Jokes aside, the whole fertility issue would be a great impetus for a Dragonsworn class.
All core dragonflights are infertile in the wake of the Cataclysm. Yet… they are still charged with protecting Azeroth. They can no longer replenish their ranks, and surely would be more guarded with their own lives… so perhaps they lend their strength to mortals, empowering them to protect Azeroth in their stead?
This is a decent way to tell it. But I standby my Anduin having egg-sex theory.
One of the two is shooting blanks!
Also, they could go with the Chromatic Dragon route - perhaps Wrathion discovers the final clutch of his big brother’s grand experiment, and players become those hatchlings, being flexible in their specialization due to having combined aspects of all the flights.
True, but if Anduin can bring Calia back to life I am sure if he injects his holy-light the egg would too.
So Light-Undead-Human-Dragon babies?
