Issue I see with a Dragon based class (or race) is adding such a thing would be like adding Batman.

It skews everything and creates what is essentially a “best” choice. You know how adding Blood Elves to the Horde made it stop being “The Horde” and instead it was basically THE SIN’DOREI DOMINION *and their lumpy friends?

That’s what adding something explicitly Dragon based would basically do. It’s probably why they’ve fought with three-year-old-having-a-meltdown-in-a-supermarket ferocity over adding High Elves, so I would expect the effect would be the same here.

That’d be cool but I’d hope they would finish the Demon Hunter class first. They need a third spec and for Havoc to be fleshed out properly rather than being a blank template waiting for borrowed power to fill the void.
