I put in a service ticket and got a response REALLY quick. Basically said we’re too busy find the solution by yourself. What kind of service is that? I’m aware they are swamped and expected a slow response but to blow me off with we’re too busy to help??? That’s uncalled for.
Odds are it was a common issue being worked on or had the wording of one and the ai picked up on it.
used to be top notch CS when I started playing.

At least you get a ticket window. Mine is totally absent and I still have issues casting spells
I thought mine not be a real issue, but a local issue until I tried generating random issues and changing the words.

Without knowing what your issue was that you asked them for help for its hard to judge why they may have responded the way they did.
Would need what you wrote in your original ticket to know why Blizz would say that.

Yes, they do have a triage system that provides answers based on keywords or category when they have high volume. The goal is to hopefully sort out folks who still really need help vs those who GMs can’t assist. They don’t assist with bugs/bug reports, game hints, resetting raid IDs, etc. There are a ton of self help tools now for most GM things as well. Unstuck, guild leader dethrone, item restore, mail restore, etc.
If the topic is one you really do need a GM for, you would use the option to re-open the ticket.
If you ever need help figuring out how to use the Support system, get explanations of polices, or get explanations of services, the Customer Support forum will get you on your way. They can save a lot of frustration by telling you if something is even a GM supported topic or if you need to use other resources.
The current system is NOT ideal, certainly. Nobody likes modern auto tree support. The CS forum can help make the most of what there is though.
Oh, and this thread can help with explaining what GMs can, and can’t, do.
there is never a reason to blow a customer off like that. and having played for 19 years i know how to solve 99% of the issues. the system is not even subpar. its words i wont say in this forum. ive already looked and havent seen a thing to help cs is the LAST place i ever go due to it being poor but this is inexcusable. ive asked for help maybe 4 times. maybe.
I will look forward to get service from actual AI in a few years. It is bound to be a whole lot better than people who figure they aren’t paid enough.

So what was the issue you needed help with? If it is one the GMs can assist with re-open the ticket. Hard to tell though unless you share what the issue was.
So you don’t want to use the Information Desk that tells you how to best use Blizzard’s Support system, as poor as that system may be? It saves a lot of time and frustration - and I can see by this thread you are frustrated enough to post. Just asking on CS could have saved you all this time already.
unless you can manage to help me get the miniature stag skull from the Ensorcelled Chest in Drustvar then ill need a gm. Yes i know hot to solve it. yes ive searched the database. yes ive checked wowhead. yes ive check google. there is nothing of help. your responses are almost insulting but i know a good number of people go to gm’s right off the bat. ive been trying everything i can think of to finish the wicker pup for YEARS now. ive got the other pieces just not the skull.
Just resubmit the ticket and you’ll get an answer from a human. It’s frustrating, but once you get through to an actual person it tends to be pretty helpful.
So the fire lighting is not working? Have you tried to collect the pieces on a different character?
they are automated for sure but actual AI can do those jobs entirely and we wouldn’t have to wait at all since they work for ‘free’.

Is there anything on Wowhead indicating it is bugged or that a GM can help? Most Bugs are hands off. They don’t let GMs fix individual accounts/characters. MOST. Not all though. If this is a phasing/quest issue Vrak is around today and is usually pretty good at helping folks sort out where they are in quest lines. If he has time. He is found on the CS forum. Not a GM, but sometimes the Blues there or regs can offer some insight. Post exactly what you just did about all the things you tried and see if anyone has any other ideas.
I don’t know if the OP is reading this thread but if they have been trying to light the fires on only one character, I would keep trying on different alts or trial characters until the fires work.
yes i know how to solve it. its a common item for me to pick up when i make a toon. easy nice gold on the ah. ive sold over a dozen. all gottten by me.
