I’m gonna pick the one that’s the best for BG’s. Doesn’t really matter which one it is.
People are focusing way too much on raw dps when utility in most situations is going to stomp the more dps oriented covenants into the ground depending on what content you play.
Even if night fae ends up being nerfed to do 0 dps I will probably still take it on almost everything because of the free movement speed, blinks and stealth. Venthyr is going to be kinda dumb in m+ with the portal mechanic.
Totally get what you’re saying. I happen to play a class with an “optimal” spec that I happen to hate, and a suboptimal one that I enjoy and do better with. It won’t do as much as a master of the optimal one, but it pulls good enough numbers to justify my place on the raid team.
According to some, if I’m not playing the optimal one I have no place in this game.
Which is amusing. To me it’s the opposite. If you don’t care about the lore or story or anything like that go play a shooter or something that lets you focus on that stuff and stop stinking up an RPG by stripping all the RPG elements out of it.
What’s funnier is when I used to play D&D we would laugh at the people trying to extreme min-max their characters with no regard for flavor by saying this is D&D not WoW. “Go play WoW instead” was actually an insult then.
I’ll pick whatever is best for my class never been one to care about looks/story
I will join whatever has the strongest abilities. Like 95% of players.
Based on your character profile…
…you should stop doing that.
I’d actually suspect the majority WON’T do that. Just the top percentile are also the most vocal so think they are the majority.
“People who disagree with me are the vocal minority!”
The majority are definitely gonna pick whatever is best for their character lol
I’ve never met a player that actually cares about the story or lore of the game from my experience the lore comes in a far second for a lot of people we generally don’t care why we are killing the big baddie we just enjoy the game play.
I’ve met most people who are the opposite. I don’t understand playing a game with rich lore and ignoring all of it for a tiny part. At that point you may as well be amorphous blobs.
Honestly I find that approach really, really disheartening
Sounds like a personal problem.
no such thing as worse one will be better at pve and one better at pvp no wrong chooses here just player agency ftw!
Of course there is a choose im going fae most likely and heck i even like there coven ability anyways lol.
I mean do whatever you want but don’t expect RPG game design to be driven by sims.
Different strokes for different folks and all that enjoy the game how you want
I’m… not? I’m expecting most players to do what the sims tell them, like they already do.
still waiting on numbers.
Too bad for them.
