Policy Update for Input Broadcasting Software

Thank you blizzard for recognizing the impact this was causing on the game. I finally can be a dual gatherer again and make competitive gold =)

Don’t expect the problem of multibox farmers to go away
definitely don’t expect bots to go away

Play with people instead of yourself =)

You can with a function in windows, but then again windows is a third party program and I need to banned for having it installed.

how many people are really going to invest in a bunch of computers though? When i tinkered with ISBoxers in eve online (before that game banned input broadcasting) the software was free and I could run 5 clients so i had a net investment of 0 dollars.

This new policy change will obliterate the hyper majority of multiboxing which lately has become a blight wrecking entire areas and in some cases making leveling/zone progression impossible

Doesn’t seem like it’ll slow botters down at all, either people will simply cancel their extra accounts or just quit all together. I really enjoyed the different gameplay multiboxing offered, put a new spin on the game. Now… I guess just pay 15 a mo instead of 30? /shrug

Hate to break this to you, but the ToS never changed. It’s always said its doesnt allow third party programs to interact with the game client and the only things allowed have to be explicitly defined by blizzard.

In essence there was never a break in contract and they are not obligated to refund you a dime. Not to mention the EULA stating they can change whatever they want.

The use of third party software was never and has never been given explicit authorization to be used.

“gameplay disruption” is not a reportable option. The GM support interfaces have been massively nerfed over the years, I cannot even open a ticket on these druid packs. For the record i did do the cheating option and added in the report a mention of “zone disruption” and what they were doing. Nothing ever happened. Guess its now normal for a kill 10 click on 6 things storyline quest to take an hour due to 30 horde druids (who are also entirely immune to pvp so cannot even try and pvp solution it)

Chromie time being farmed by multiboxers
14 phases 1 area/zone 1 server.

it’s reactionary and innocent people will be collateral damage

i dunno… i’d consider the guy who has to USD the problem away to be the noob. If you NEED to run a bunch of accounts you must be doing something at a substandard level /shrug

leave it to blizzard to make people enjoy the game less, I started multi boxing a few weeks ago I guess its time to cancel 5 subs =).

Again you can report people for disrupting a zone, just sayin.

btw i’ve seen moe bots ingame than multiboxers and don’t forget BRD rogue bots which never get banned. i think the problem is blizzard doesn’t really know how to deal bots. they just rather pretend to be doing something about it.

You don’t need to invest in a bunch of computers, Just a little time with a hypervisor and a cheap box from china that’ll cost you 20 bucks and your done, Then you wont even NEED a license for boxing software and you’ll gain valuable useful IT skills at the same time.
