what? no? automating the gameplay with a broadcaster sounds like it trivializes this challenge. my idea of a challenge is more 2k+ io solo or pvp rating but you do you fam.
I was speaking directly to Gordilissa because I doubt hes on my server. Theres nothing magical about it smdh. I dont have a problem gathering with more than one toon. One of the most common uses for it are for gold farmers to farm nodes via multiboxing effectively leaving nodes empty. Removing the bot means more effort in keystrokes etc will be required so other players in the area will actually be able to leap frog onto the next available nodes while the multiboxer has to spend a few extra seconds per node to gather. I gather with my 4 friends in a 5 stack so nodes get tapped its not the best but it allows us to keep some nodes
The people who have made the biggest impact in classic and retail over the years has been big business multibox farmers. you know the type of people who own botnets. the problem is with those people and arguably the pvpers. A simple ban on multibox pvp would resolve the pvp issue.
The big boi’s will not stop because they have already poured to much into it. others will continue because wow gold literally is worth more than their countries currency.
if you good with gold you’ll be able to take the incoming inflation
if you have historically been poor in the game im sorry to say but a decrease in materials on a server = higher prices. if a slow down of multiboxing happens to affect enough farmers on your server this will increase prices.
I doubt thats the greatest problem its probably the pvp multiboxing which as been going on the longest. Herb/mine nodes use to be 1 toon per node. the 5 limit or 2x4 wasnt until BFA maybeeeee Legion. Feel free to continue to attack me instead of the argument. Its all you can do. Have a nice day
That completely incorrect, I can launch multiple clients from the blizzard launcher itself with no other software required. Also the only thing being banned is Broadcasting software, you can still use multi window organizers and third party client launchers.

So as someone that currently is using these systems and Multiboxing if this is the way that Blizzard wants to take this then fine. However since this is a major TOS change I am simply asking for the ability to request full refunds for the accounts that I have acquired. Since it has been acceptable in the TOS since the beginning this is a very simple thing to ask for. I only have 4 accounts this will get interesting when people with 50 plus start doing the same.

Except they’re not spending $20 USD or other real currencies they’re buying the tokens with gold. Someone else spent the $20 on it but thats the other side of the coin not quite the same. The money is spend on the token for the players that buy their gold
in a backwards way the multiboxers are giving blizzard 5 dollars as well since the 20 is converted to 15 bnet credit.
so 25 in a way is the complete value. 20 if used by the buyer as time and not bnet credit

I have been a loyal sub since the very beginning of world of warcraft.
I have been there for every expansion, from the amazing highs of WOTLK and Legion and the dissapointing lows of CATA and WOD.
I have seen thousands of guilds rise and fall across 4 different servers.
I have put over 4 years of played time into this game, it has become a second life to me.
For the last year I have decided to change my playstyle to add and extra layer to the game, I have become a multiboxer.
My dream was to create 5 max level characters of each class on my 5 accounts (so far i stand at 18 lvl 60’s) and once complete start streaming my adventures.
Today I recieved multiple messages on my discord from people who have been long time friends breaking the news that Activision Blizzard is clamping down on multiboxers.
Imagine how I feel having put in so much to this game to find it all snuffed out in 1 post.
I am still bewildered as to how you think this will solve your botting problem? Botters don’t use ISOBOXER!
All you would need to do to find botters is type /who blackrock depts and you will find tons of rogues botting with pickpocketing to avoid your 30 instance lockout.
All you would need to do to find botters is type /who strath and look for those that are unguilded and pm them.
All you would need to do to find botters is pay devs to play the game WITH THE PLAYERS like they did for so long before and they could root them out fast.
This response seems lazy , it seems haphazard and it will cost you a lot of subs and hurt your bottom line.
I hope you come to your senses and reverse this reckless decision which affects thousands of legitimate players,
and i hope that all the multiboxers out there take a stand with me in cancelling thier subs to send a message.

Sounds like you failed to report them correctly. If a player is making an area unplayable, you report them for gameplay disruption. Even multiboxers get banned for outright stopping others from playing.

Chromie time is 14 phases of the same spot on the same server. thats not 1 layer of bots its 14.
over the past few weeks druid bots and multiboxers alike have been farming record amounts while saturating more than 1 phase of chromie time per server.
this mechanic has broken the game and will continue to be exploited by legit multiboxers and solo players alike.
No they’re not. A player pays $20 for a token a multiboxer buys x amount of tokens for gold. The money for the token in the first place was already paid with money. +$5 profit on blizz vs normal monthly game time. The multiboxer gets $15 worth of monthly game time OR $15 worth of Blizz credit. Its a $5 profit from the token purchaser no matter what. Plenty of non boxers pay for their gametime this way. I do.

A 2x4 is a hyper spawn farming formation. There are 10 taps in a node and 2x4 is only 8.
I’d love to watch you multibox a 5 man mythic team, tanking, healing and keeping 3 DPS out of the fire. Or better yet, dual boxing the main tank and off tank in a raid. There are plenty of challenges, In the end I doubt that’s why the majority of boxers do it.

I’d say get 4 friends and make a group and you can overcome that “advantage”, but I kinda feel like I know how that would play out.
