Policy Update for Input Broadcasting Software

That’s where it’s going. It’s been a long, convoluted and stupid road but that’s the end goal.

I just want to multibox 4 arms warriors with my mate healing in classic dungeons ffs. Guess i’ve just wasted all my time and money gearing up for having fun with my mate.

You still can.

except all of those people can go and spend 20 dollars on a KVM replicator and 2 hours learning how virtual machines work and do what they did before hand instead of spending 20 dollars on an innerspace/autohotkey license.

Blizzard can ban you simply because you look like you are multiboxing with software though. They don’t need 100% proof, if someone reports you, there is a chance you will get banned.

And you can appeal it and they look in the logs and oh look your not banned… See the thing about banning people randomly is it never ends well.

It doesn’t work that way.

They investigate and if they can’t prove it you don’t get banned.

It does work that way, I have lost many accounts because they just assumed I was botting.

but at the end of the day, most probably wont do this. because its no longer convenient for them. people hate having to learn new things, they want everything done easy(which this program provided) if it wasnt a big deal, you wouldnt see multiboxers crying about unsubbing, thats how common place it is now because of this program.

Eh, no. They investigated I can guarantee you that.

Like moving your character to see what it does. Or doing something else to force typical bot behavior to happen. Or plotting your x/y movements and seeing how it differs from their known bot patterns.

They didn’t ban your accounts because another player believed you were botting. It’s more involved than that.

People cry about unsubbing when ANY change happens, This will be no different, there hasn’t been a change in the game without Anyone complaining about it and unsubbing there is an outcry even so much as when blizzard changes tooltips to be accurate.

So, what I’m seeing here is the botters who are supposedly being targeted by this policy will buy a $100 piece of hardware and continue on their way while the rest of us who were just doing something interesting get penalized.

Except some of that software can be used to mirror keystrokes to multiple PCs on the same network…

The problem with that is, KVM replicators and multiplexxers are external to the computer, the computer doesn’t know it exists, So the bot would ALSO have to be external and that becomes a very difficult thing to code for so the botters will go back to botting a different way.

Your argument is so stupid. “oh blizzard says no 3rd party software, they didn’t say anything about hardware that allows me to multibot!”

If I wanna go to Taco Bell and the sticker on the door says “no shirts, no shoes, no service” does that mean that I can take my pants off and i’ll be served? Just because they didn’t mention it.

You’re advocating for the people in this thread to look for loopholes to continue to break the (new) rule.

no, they won’t. i mean, by all means, pat yerself on the back and give blizzard a virtual hug if you want to, this accomplish absolutely NOTHING.

Than why complain? If it doesn’t matter than it doesn’t matter.

They’ll just get more creative with their scripting patterns AND they’ll take their software offline, where it cannot be looked at by the public / Bluzzard.

Bots are not going away with this change. 20+ hyperspawn farmers aren’t either.

2-5 boxers are, in general.

If it doesn’t matter and won’t change anything what are you here for?

You are just mad that we found an alternative… one that existed before the software variant did, If they wanted to get rid of multiboxing they would just outright BAN multiboxing, Stop being mad because they didn’t ban multiboxing.
