Policy Update for Input Broadcasting Software

Says the 20 rogue who was I can only assume harmed badly by some multiboxer

LOL no we arent going away
we will simply alt tab it isnt gonna change anything just make it a tad harder which is pointless
and it wont stop the bots either actually it might unfort do the exact opposite and make more people want to bot

Never lost to one and if I did it’d be BECAUSE they were using automation software lmao. Regardless I guess I wont have to worry and will take great joy in slaying hardware mutliboxers

/Victory TY Blizz!

LOL good luck with that just hope u dont come across the wrong set of shammys or druids

Well done Blizzard.

Thrilled to see them choose the integrity of the game over the whales paying for multiple subs.

Controlling multiple characters with mirroring keystrokes was such a brutal loophole to begin with. Long term, this is great for the game. Kudos Blizz.

LOL coming from the guy who clearly can’t pvp at all.

Bookmarked for later.

Then why did you agree to it? You didn’t read it, did you?

I’m not going anywhere, I’ll still multi-box and farm herbs and ores, not changing what I do one bit. I always alt-tab between screens and manually click anyway.

This changes nothing for me.

I’ve always considered this cheating. 1 button press, 1 action. Not sure why Blizzard took so long to figure it out.

Hopefully this means Shadowlands crafting professions will no longer require absurd amounts of materials.

On a related note, group farming in general needs to be nerfed. Let’s say someone can farm 10 Tidespray Linen per minute solo. Then 5 people in a group can farm 250 Tidespray Linen per minute (50 per minute each) because they all loot all the enemies they damage (in practice usually less, but still way more per person than farming solo). The groups that do this (usually involving druids for spammable long range aoe) flood the market with gold, cloth, meat, spare parts, or whatever else the mobs drop. Tidespray Linen only has the value it does because of what you can get from vendoring or scrapping the cheapest things you can make with it.

How do u know
this is clearly not my only acct

So I guess we need to stop macros that speak when they interrupt spells. Or ones that use a CD and an ability at the same time?

That is literally 2 things with 1 action.

Broadcasts do not make decsions. That key has 1 function when you press it. 1 button 1 action

Like I said earlier. If you are manually clicking each node on each client that’s abiding by the rules. 1 stroke = 1 action. That’s fine

Nope, Neither will be using Hardware multiplexing through a hyper visor, In reality all they did was remove isboxer and autohotkey, The more complicated multiboxers were using multiple forms of input with unique keybinds for multiple classes anyway.

I’m actually indifferent as a multiboxer of 10+ years. Your game sucks. So it’s not a huge loss.

I’ve had no intention of playing and now even less intent. Maybe it does work out for the better but all I see is you appeasing this tiny group of people who will likely not be around as long as we were, paying as much as we were. Banning multiboxing for sure is not going to make what you’re offering better. That’s the problem with it.

I gotta admit it’ll be interesting (and entertaining) to see where it goes from here. If I were a betting man I would think it does nothing to help you and you just lose more money from people like said who paid for multiple subscriptions for 8+ years. That’s going to hurt.

No one cares. Multiboxers have always been cheaters regardless if it is against the TOS or not. The fact that you need to automate your gameplay or have multiple characters doing the same thing says a lot about your lack of interest in the game. Anyone that isn’t interested in playing the game as it was intended to be played is no loss to the community.
