Policy Update for Input Broadcasting Software

It just means a keyboard will be made to do the same item.

We knew the whole “no change Classic” was not true what with layering and spell batching in addition to no following the actual release patches.

So if they’re banning multi-boxing in retail, I hope they really throw the banhammer at classic.

You’re not even reading or comprehending what i said and the difference between those two. All i hear from you multi-boxers is cope. You think one guy as one vs people is the same thing.

LOL. Get over it, your loopholes excuses don’t work anymore. youre a cheater plain and simple. Try saying something new, Cheater. Except, you can’t.

Admit your wrongdoings. Or just dont say anything you’re making a fool of yourself cheater

yea i won’t do M+ with my teams by alt-tabbing :stuck_out_tongue:

First Trump lost the election now this. Today is a good day.

Thank God!!!

They aren’t taking a hit. They did the math, and they think they are losing more money to bots and multibox driven gold sellers than they would make if people had to buy the gold via the WoW token

Adios. Please let the door hit you on the way out.

It is a simple, easy-to-use piece of software that can be used for a variety of tasks, including key broadcasts to WoW clients.

yes or close enough to it.

Rules and situations change all the time. Back in the day the game world was a lot different but today we have people from all over the world invading the game, farming and creating mass accounts to m’box farm to collect and sell gold. I don’t know a lot about mboxing, but are there not ways to run multiple characters together without using the software that they don’t like?

Thank you Blizz!

Multiboxers have in recent years have had a huge negative impact to player experience.

Farming for nodes in Nazjatar with warmode on in particular was brutal.

People were multiboxing before this sort of broadcast software was available though.

I did it “back in the day” with two accounts on a single computer.

It probably would have been easier with two monitors, but I didn’t have that back then. I didn’t use any sort of additional software to accomplish this though.

What people are doing now is just straight up abusing the system, which is why Blizz made this move.

They could have limited the number of clients you can run at one time, but they decided to just go this direction instead.

Like I said, it’s whatever. I don’t do it anymore, so end of the day, it doesn’t affect me. However, like I said, I hate to see people abuse something and have it ruined like this.

This was a failure on both sides. The players for treating it like the wild west, and Blizz for going full nuclear strike on it in the end.

It isn’t, and it never was, but you go on thinking whatever you need to think to help you sleep at night.

I have been multiboxing in this game for years. It is expensive, requires a degree of skill and does not lead to ‘botting’. They cannot figure out how to fix botting so they’re punishing us.

Why let it go on for 16 years? Why all of the sudden? This is insane.

Yes to be clear I’m talking about keyboard software macros, nit in game macros

Fifteen years and it’s just now an issue?

I run two accounts manually by alt-tabbing between them, so this policy change doesn’t affect me. But I have a friend who runs two accounts through keycloning. She’s not a power player; she just enjoys the process of getting things set up and seeing her themed pairs of characters questing out in the gameworld. Seems silly to lump her in with gold farmers cornering herb markets, etc.

No, the hacks and other issues aren’t solved by getting rid of multiboxing. Most of the folks that camp herbs, like Black Lotus, don’t multibox. They just run multiple clients at the same time. Nothing Blizzard is doing will stop this from happening. You can still have a toon dead at a spwan point, have another using “Eagle Eye” to watch for spawns, all at the same time.

This will please some of the folks on PvP servers, but will have little impact on things like herb spawn camping.

Great decision. Reinforces every point I’ve made about how MBing has warped from what it was and the negative impact it has made in recent expansion.

Honestly shocked blizzard did it and it’s great. And just because I’m spiteful I have to say I love watching everyone eating crow about this.
