the end result is the same, you die. theres nothing you can do with a multibox setup that 5 people in discord canāt do better. thereās no āunfairā advantage to team work.

While said player has a lot of opinions I disagree with. That post was made in June. It is only now becoming an actionable offense, so that topic was indeed true at the time.

And I donāt think anyone cares about someone playing 2 accounts maybe having one out in the world and another for constant auction stuff if your into that kinda of stuff.
No one wants 5-10 accounts in 100% sync destroying everything they see.

I imagine they did it because of the gathering profs/crafting profs killing all the possible profit on a given server/people using those profits to control markets. But then, thereās also the nightmare of garbage this was when I loaded in with people into one of the timewalking events during the last anniversary. Yes, thatās exactly as many DKs as you think there are. And yes, theyāre ALL run by the EXACT SAME PERSON.
Obviously, we ended up leaving, because all the accounts were following one another, getting a debuff, and blowing themselves up. Because the person who had enough money to pay for all those accounts, couldnāt pay for a lesson on how to move them without doing so individually.

This is absolutely true. There are many players that multiboxed 2 or 3 accounts, for fun and the challenge. With this change, Iām canceling two of the three accounts I used, no need for them now. It isnāt really a biggie for me since I play very casually, but I have to wonder how many accounts like mine they will lose over this. Oh well, need to figure out if I want to transfer any characters

Yeah pretty sure they banning me for using AutoHotKey isnāt going to crack down on the ones using fly and teleport hacks.

If I canāt use AutoHotKey the way I have SINCE BURNING CRUSADE then Iāll cancel all but one of my accounts, and, after I do BC Classic and Wrath Classic with my guild, cancel forever.
It doesnāt make much sense to ban me for legitimate behavior that Iāve done for 14 YEARS though.

Thatās not entirely true. Most of the multi-boxers that I know only pay for the first month only, then use the multi box gold revenue to purchase Wow tokens to cash in as game time.
Blizzard probably thinks that people will continue to buy WoW Tokens for gold. If you make it harder to grind gold (removing multiboxers), then purchasing the gold from Blizzard through the WoW token process will be cheaper than buying it from real life gold seller, which are currently priced below the Token price.
While itās against the rules of the game, Blizzard knows people are buying gold at cheaper than the Token price, and that black market is entirely propped up by multi-boxers and botting. Itās hard to detect bots, but easier to detect key repeating. So bots that are also multiboxing will inherently be banned too.

By definition it is cheating lmao, those who multibox do so to give themselves an unfair advantage (whether it be in PvP by essentially one shotting anyone, in the market by being able to gold farm to gold cap, and even potentially in PvE by being able to clear content a single person canāt) VERY easily in every situation by playing multiple characters at once. Just because it isnāt DIRECTLY stated in the ToS or whatever doesnāt change what the act of multiboxing is.
