I gave the actual solution, but it was buried in a long post, and they probably wouldnā€™t do it anyway. Donā€™t have Raid Finder (itā€™s not called LFR), but have 10 and 25 on separate lockouts. As it was in WotLK when the game was, you know, popular. You start by raiding 10N, then you can go to 10H or 25, and finally 25H where the best gear is. Guild raids one, guild members PuG the other when they have time. Casuals get to raid that way. It worked.

Well then, I guess as long as it does not impact you ā€“ excellent attitude to haveā€¦ perfect fit for the community at large.

When and where do we sign up to vote new members in?

I see that and how sad. The title is misleading but then again, MicroActaBlizz has been misleading customers for years.

I assume its because his guild might ask him to run LFR in MoP to get the legendary faster, I do not remember if gear tier bonus can be reach using lower raid ilvl pieces, if you can then another reason for him to run LFR, if he want to min/max and be at the top faster week 1 or if his guild ask him to do so and he refuse they might bench him for someone else who did.

So if he does it its not fun for him, if he doesnā€™t its not fun either so its a lose/lose situation, but if they add LFR lockout then that issue is 100% gone.

LFR is beneath casual level. Most people never do it. You can get mog from vendors after the fact anyways. No need for it.

Options arenā€™t a bad thing. Why not have LFR, with it being a separate lockout? Does it hurt people running normal / heroic? Does it make their progression slower?

No - the ā€œhardcoreā€ raiders just donā€™t want to allow casuals access to raid content. They spout how easy it is to do normal / run with a guild without taking into account that many people donā€™t have time to commit to it. Their counter is that it is their choice on whether they make time or notā€¦ sometimes that isnā€™t a choice. It would be, however, their choice on whether they run LFR or not.

What reason is there to have a shared lockout? If you want to do LFR and normal and heroicā€¦ then that is your choice. If you only want to do LFR, againā€¦ your choice. If you only want to do heroicā€¦

Again, giving people options isnā€™t a bad thing. If you / your guild feel the need to do all content every week, and thus taking up more of your time if they add LFRā€¦ well guess what, that is YOUR choice. Stop trying to block content that many people will enjoy just because you donā€™t think they deserve to access it.

Bro, you canā€™t even hurt the mobs in the game. How much longer are you going to hide behind that alt?

That is hilarious!

Options can be bad, I donā€™t know why people defend choice as being an absolute good.
If you had the choice to pay for the best gear in the shop Iā€™m pretty sure we wouldnā€™t be saying that itā€™s fine because itā€™s a choice. Itā€™s not because you have the option to make a bad choice that it makes it good.

Iā€™m pretty sure if you ask the majority of people that currently raid heroic their interest toward LFR it would be pretty near 0. Thereā€™s no point in having LFR being something extra to do, moreover if gear catchup is your thing we currently have H+ which is more than enough gear.

You can access LFR, if itā€™s in the game, how you want just donā€™t throw other people that donā€™t want to do it a carrot to go into it.

For most of them their interest in stopping it would also be near zero too. The majority of players just donā€™t care at all either way.

No one is throwing you into LFR other than yourself.

Because heroic raiders are all that matter and make up a majority of the player baseā€¦ am I right? Casuals make up the majority of the player base and the income for Blizz, so catering to them is good for the game.

LFR drops the best gear? Iā€™m pretty sure that it drops gear just slightly better than heroic dungeons, but maybe Iā€™m wrong.

Some people want to experience the raids without dedicating hours each week to sitting in LFG / scheduled guild runs. Even if the casuals wanted to join a discord group and got right inā€¦ the raid still takes hours to complete. The broken up ā€œwingsā€ of LFR are a perfect way to let people partake in the raids without dedicating a ton of time.

You might have misunderstood how this wasnā€™t about adding LFR or not to me.
For me itā€™s about LFR impact on heroic raiders. Having LFR for LFR players, I have no problem.

Just add LFR.

No modifications, no shared lockouts. Add it in exactly as it was in its original iteration.

Sick and tired of eltists thumping their silly chests demanding everyone else step up if they want to access content, until its something they donā€™t want to do and then they demand blizzard remove it.

Funny you say this because in the og version there was no buff for wiping, So if blizz made it so that LFR shared a lockout with normal and heroic. The bad players wouldnt even be able to clear LFR. Because there would not be any heroic geared players there to carry them.

You still ignore half of what is said even when you quote itā€¦ ā€œNo modifications, no shared lockoutsā€. Even with you oh so powerful normal and heroic raiders, LFR runs still wipe. Iā€™ve seen plenty of the heroic / normal entitled brats just afk during LFR and get carried by the casuals. Thatā€™s kind of just the way it is for LFR and is typically factored in with the difficulty.

But hey, you just keep pushing your anti-casual views. Maybe youā€™ll win and we wonā€™t get LFRā€¦ then we can look forward to seeing classic discontinued due to too many of those ā€œbad playersā€ quitting.

I know, youā€™ll come back with ā€œwell they have handled it for the past 5 yearsā€, so Iā€™ll preemptively respond by saying that many casuals are looking forward to LFR being added at the same time that it was in real cataā€¦ if Blizz decides to give the finger to them and not put it inā€¦ you can expect them to return the favor and quit.

I donā€™t know why people respond to Moist. He lashes out at LFR while spending 400k gold to get carried and buy gear in GDKPs.

Youā€™re just being trolled.

It isnā€™t so much for them as it is for anyone else who thinks that removing / restricting LFR is a good idea.

All I want is cross server raiding. Back in the day we used a third party site to group up across servers.

It was like a myspace for raiding. You could rate people and leave comments on their profile. Also you could link your alts so people could verify your main.

Now we have discord and it would really help the pug scene.
