You’re saying this like you don’t understand that there is a difference there.
It’s totally fair not want to have to do lower level content if you are pushing that content higher.
You still haven’t explained what this would change for you. If it’s better to me than certainly it does something negative for you if you care so much as to try to entertain this discussion if it’s not simply to troll me.
I don’t think there’s a lot of people that like to dailies as much so it makes sense that they don’t feel too mandatory to do, I really like that hyjal rep wasn’t something you needed to do for power progression. There’s a reason why Thorgast got so hated in Shadowlands (if you know about it). I really liked that the cata reps could easily be farmed from dungeons which was something you could end up doing while gearing up in them.
I haven’t voiced an opinion on your lockout suggestion. I’m just trying to understand your argument. That’s how I try to form an opinion of my own. And if the best you can come up with is your lack of self-control to just avoid using a system…I’d have to say that’s not a great reason.
I think the game should be fun even for people that min/max.
I think that’s quite simple to understand.
Why would you want the game to feel worse if you want to do what the game tells you to do to beat it?
Everything? It’s boring faceroll content. Moreover when I’m already running that raid in another difficulty why would I want to run it again on the same character the same week? Should we just remove raid lockouts then?
You still haven’t explained how this affect you. And I can’t take you seriously as long as you do not do that.
Well you know the devs did say they had no plans to release it. Wouldnt be the first time the devs didnt add something to cata Void storage comes to mind. Along with Guild perks such as mass res, mass summoning, Pet aggressive mode was replaced with Assist.
You choosing not to do it is the same as it sharing a lockout. Your counter is, “I’m a min/maxer. I HAVE to do every form of content and get every piece of gear. But I don’t want to have to do content I don’t enjoy because it’s faceroll. So it’s better for me just to not have to make that choice.”
Does that not strike you as a bit selfish?
I could see the comparison being that everyone else will do it, therefore comparatively you’ll feel left behind. That does make sense. But…was that a huge problem in original Cata?
So like others your goal is to entrap raiders to do LFR, which is hypocrite to me.
Your goal is to make me waste time in LFR so it’s only fair that I dislike it.
Id rather LFR is not a thing if that’s what people want from it.
Normal mode exists for casual players. Not releasing LFR changes nothing from the last 5 years of raiding. If people wanted to raid they raided if they didnt want to raid they didnt raid. Normal raids are easy and accessible to all players.
Saying it’s bad design because you, Zoumz, don’t want to feel the need to use LFR is a very limited perspective. There’s hardcore raiders that want to also do LFR. What about them? Do they just not count?
I don’t have a problem with you listing your preference, but saying it’s ‘bad game design otherwise’ is just completely self-centered. People play this game for a myriad of reasons, and something you hate someone else might love.
You’re simultaneously saying the game should be fun for everyone, but only if the game is designed specifically for YOU. Here’s the problem: it’s an mmorpg. It’s not just about you. Blizz needs to take the whole scope into perspective.
