The only achievements I’ve ever pursued all had something like a mount or flying behind them. The rest are just accidents. I’m sure my count is low compared to others that have played as long but I’ve never had that completionist or achievement hunter mentality.

well i was using it as an example for in “game knowledge” and “completed content” sorry you took that the wrong way. so that would be on you. says a lot about you i guess? i dunno?
you know this is a classic character. geez thought you would see that. no wonder the game is in the state it is in.
The new Meta achievement seems to have gotten a lot of people engaged in the game again… even though there are complaints.
The trading post is also driving engagement in the standard game. It isn’t really content. But rather new rewards for things that you were already doing in the game.
Then the classic forums are that way 
In all seriousness though, if you are wanting to talk down on people where their achievement points are considered, maybe get on a character that has more than you’re trying to claim doesn’t have an opinion. So until such time, my statement stands, and you are the picture of irony.

My biggest complaint with the meta is I think it should have been available to work toward from either the .0 or .1 patch. It would be fine to use placeholders for .2/.3 specific achievements. I hope TWW has a meta and I hope it’s revealed much earlier.

They’re trying to mimic Fortnite basically. The new transmog feel so out of place for me. Sure, WoW was always kind of silly, but these new mogs are just stupid.
More and more, I’m realizing that I’m not just the target audience for WoW anymore. I’m an old school MMO gamer, and I don’t think player types like me have a place in modern WoW anymore. Which is totally okay, if this is what the modern players want far be it from me to crap on people for wanting the game go in this direction.
I just feel like the game isn’t getting quality content anymore, and is relying on recycling a lot of systems, content and just throwing collectibles at players to keep them happy. Welcome to live-service gaming in 2024.

Technically, the Meta always WAS there, just in spirit, if not in realized form.
Just assume there is a META, and do all of the achievements. That way when it eventually does come, as it seems to every expansion, you are already ready for it.
I’d rather have Plunderstorm and Pandaria Remix over another worthless raid or dungeon so I’m fine with the way things are going.

Agreed. I remember the droughts of previous expacs. While I despise Plungerstorm in its entirety, it is still better than absolutely nothing for a year or more.
You realize they are literally doing what you want them to do right? Right?
They are working on the next expansion, that launches later this year. In previous expansions, when we reached the final patch that was it, no more content until the pre-expansion patch a few months before the new expansion launches.
So we had a content drought. That would often last for 6 months to a year.
Now we don’t have one, because Blizzard is giving us new stuff to do. If you don’t want to do it and be a negative nancy then don’t do it. But let those of us who actually want stuff to do, have that stuff to do.

The base raid frames are completely fine (as a healer) since most of the mod functionality has been baked in.
DBM isn’t needed for normal, heroic, or early mythic by a long shot. DBM announces super obvious things the bosses also announce with voice emotes and energy bars and especially in normal and heroic none of it really matters.
A few late mythic bosses require a specific weakaura. That is it for “required” addons.

You know, the same thing we have been doing for 20 years.
Maybe, instead of sticking to the tired old development formula they have been using for the last decade, they could maybe plan their expansions better, instead of having these long content droughts.
It is 2024, they have had 20 years to figure this stuff out, this problem is a lack of leadership and poor planning.
Sooo…a year or more of content drought while we wait for the next expac?

Or they throw money and man power into a new raid, dungeon, ect, and delay the next expansion for a couple of months. I suppose that works too.
