So don’t be.
I stopped doing plunderstorm at renown 3. Don’t force yourself to do content you don’t wanna do.

I hated plunderstorm. I grinded it out for the mog but I hated it.
This event looks to be actually fun. I will say I do still dislike “limited time” which leads to FOMO but I’m very much cautiously excited about it. I definitely want to keep my expectations in check but if they reveal CM recolors it’ll be a 10/10 event for me.
They absolutely are.
Plunderstorm has been fun, in moderation. I’m not the biggest fan of Battle Royale games or PvP so I land where few people are, do my match quest, get a level or two done and then I stop (depends entirely on how much plunder I get).
I tried Season of Discovery, it was fun, I’ll probably jump in again soon to level a warrior so I can toy around with Gladiator Stance again.
I will absolutely jump into WoW Remix. It’s got a lot of good stuff coming with it and I’m all for that. Why people are salty about Blizzard giving us stuff to do is beyond me.
They aren’t mutually exclusive, and most wow players have shown that if they deem a patch or expansion bad then they’re gone so there’s little point in them maintaining/fixing it.
It is an echo chamber.
Yeah, it is.

I’m assuming they are a fan of the rock band with the same name, mewithoutYou.
so then difficulty was indeed an issue by your own words lmao.
those who scream the loudest of their intelligence are usually the most inept.
so it kind of sounds like this “content drought” you’re so upset about is actually a perfect opportunity to do the stuff you missed out on? right?
Au contraire, these content droughts are planned purposefully because Blizzard has a strict timeline for getting the next expansion out and needs to therefore dedicate most its resources on the next expansion.
This is why we have content lulls before every expansion, and this is why we got a fated season in SL, and why we’re getting another one along with some content that presumably doesn’t take as much resources to make.
Furthermore, I’d argue that some content drought might even be necessary to allow players breathing space to finish up whatever expansion activities they want done before the next one.
And finally, the great thing about a content drought is you can just . . . take a break.
No arguments here. I think most players would be happy with more clearly defined goals.
I’d argue that has always been one of Blizzard’s great flaws with content.
They don’t go into the content side of things with a full plan, and just make stuff up as they go. A meta achievement that could span the entire expansion only showing up at the very end is…a weird thing to do.
I can’t wait for Remix mode and I really like the TP. I suppose if mog/pets/toys/mounts aren’t your jam, the TP/Remix is a waste to you, but there are many folks who really appreciate it.
I am glad we are getting something to do that isn’t just mythic+ and the same raids again.
Also, I am pretty sure Plunderstorm will be back in the future, with new rewards. A lot of people loved/hated it, but it wasn’t like it face flopped.
Not sure why the HS Anni event has you upsetti, it was around for only a few days and it’s gone forever. If you missed it, you missed, not a big deal.
I agree. Panda-land remix? Why? Of all expansions, Blizz picks kung fu panda for their next gimmick
Edit: some players are complaining about having the same raids and M+ in S4, but are happy to play a slightly different version of an expansion that’s already happened and is still in the game.
I mean I missed MoP…but there was a reason that I missed MoP. So I’m not exactly champing at the bit to have another shot at it.
MoP is an excellent expansion to start this type of remix experiment with.
It was well received by most players, was a fun expansion to play around in, and it had a lot of excellent content, regardless of what type of content you enjoyed. Does it show its age now? Yes, absolutely, but that doesn’t make it any less fun to play.
Just because you don’t enjoy something does not mean it is a gimmick. Players have asked for something new for PvP for years. They have asked for reasons to go back to old content or a retelling of that content for years. Anniversary and new game events have been a thing for years. I have the first Heartstone event mount to show it. New Shop transmogs have been hated for years…we never asked for that. Player have being asking for something like log in rewards for years. The trading post is a pretty simple take on that and offers some nice things.
If you look at WoW patches most of them are boring little fixes, nothing big and grand. Or you get things like the robo cat quest or the selfie patch. At this point a lot of us have being doing the same things for almost 20 years and it is good to see Blizzard trying something different. Systems like Plunderstorm and Remix Pandaria mode allow for Blizzard to try different ideas without risking the main retail game. It is low stakes but could have a big payoff for a lot of the player base.
Sustainability can take the form of many things and if they are able to keep up with new events like Plunderstorm or Remixes we have sustainability with that.
Now that they are living in the past, the present version is suffering.
