Maybe they could have added gimmicks to retail had they not kept raising the damn level cap all the time screwing over the effort they have put into balancing the game.

Everyone is allowed to post their opinion, you do realize that right? You’re getting mad that people aren’t agreeing with you and that people are posting their own opinion.
Are we supposed to just stand back and let you talk? We all pay for the game and we are all allowed to share our thoughts and opinions on the game and its contents.
If you can’t handle people not agreeing with you, then you’re free to leave.
This isn’t an echo chamber. It’s a place where differing opinions can co-exist. Your opinion just isn’t very popular, that’s why it gets “drowned out.”

I’ve said this before, but would you rather have dead downtime for 6-8 months like normal?
Seriously. We are usually trapped in the final raid for up to a year, with the most content we get being 1 or 2 quest chains that are finished within an hour of release for a mount or toy.
This is honestly one of the best content release schedules we have had while waiting on the xpac. Legit something for almost everyone.
I’d rather have this stuff than dead time until the expansion launches.
But only their opinion matters, don’t you know?! They’re the main character here! We’re just the NPCs that have to fall in line!

What was the biggest whinge that was all over these forums when Blizzard revealed Plunderstorm?
“UGH!! A PvP mode? I don’t want to have to do PvP for transmogs! Why are you forcing me to PvP Blizzard! Where’s the PvE mode! I hate PvP!!”
Now they’ve announced WoW Remix: Mists of Pandaria, which looks like an extremely fun event, that is going to be entirely focused on PvE instead of PvP and ya’ll are still whinging. So if you’re going to be ungrateful, you should go without.

These are great. Yes, even the shop transmogs, which are nice, and can be bought with gold if you don’t wanna pay real life money, or they can be ignored.
It’s marked in X.Y.Z format semantic versioning and it’s in WoW therefore it’s a patch and it’s WoW content.

These takes are hilarious. Gimmicks are great fun in between expansions. And this particular gimmick (Remixes) gives us stuff in Retail. Plunderstorm, too, gave us stuff in Retail. I’m loving these different modes that don’t touch the actual Retail world but still give us cosmetics in Retail.
There are currently THREE expansions being worked on in Retail. Is that not enough for you?

I would have liked a CoS style mini raid on live servers coinciding with this, heck just take some cool bosses from MoP, update them slightly, and slap em in the timeways to keep the theme / workload down.

For sure… But my point was that I have been repeatedly told here (in this thread and many others) by MANY people (I presume devs) that any dissent is not ok, and that this is all good stuff from a great company.
If that’s not you, excellent, you’re my type of people. This is the place to talk about liking/not liking content.
But as the company doubles down on bad plays, I’m going to tell the company as a twenty year client that they need a course correction.

I can’t complain too much I’ve still got S3 content since I came back so late in the season and fated is right around the corner so even without these things I feel like I’d be in a good place content wise. I have my complaints about the modes themselves but none of it is an “I’ve got nothing to do” kind of complaint.
I think overall DF was an improvement as far as content cadence goes.
