shhhh dont tell her about the chronos that have been here since Classic Launch, or the chromie quests in general. or all the GM interaction in vanilla which we never got in Classic because blizzard as a company had changed the GM’s in game function and ability to interact with players.

We’re all aware of that change. This doesn’t mean era players want anything else changed.
And of course we all know just how good Blizz is at doing the rigth thing.
Tab targeting and spell animations have been changed on era.

Druid shape shifting has been changed too. No need for many of the old macros we used to interact with items, changing forms etc have gotten the “QOL” upgrades. I dont recall player’s requesting these either.

you and the OP aren’t speaking for all of us, i suspect not even a majority given how many raid groups require addons. Please stop acting like you speak for hundreds of players whenever you are only speak for yourself.

I find it ironic that the chronoboon was added when classic was almost over, and now we are stuck with it. I’d like classic to stay as close to vanilla as possible. I almost feel like it was added to spite the old school fans. And for those who argue “just don’t use it” it’s still not the same. Anytime something is added in game, it effects the play in game. It’s up to the devs to be the adults in the room, and just say no sometimes, instead of saying they are following the community…
I mean I fully agree to an extent, however without a certain percentage of that community you simply don’t have this product at all.
This is the problem that lies at the root of most major issues/decisions in the game currently. The players honestly agree on very little. We all (or at least the majority hopefully) want to play a fun MMO and have agency, we want updates and bug fixes, we don’t want bots and cheaters that negatively impact others ( even this last point has grey areas). Outside those things this community doesn’t have consensus on anything else and yet we expect the company to deliver us personal home runs on the regular.
It is unrealistic and honestly unobtainable. This doesn’t mean Blizzard is not doing poorly in some areas or doesn’t need to improve…but to expect them to cater to one groups vision over the others is just silly imo.

You make fair points, but it goes beyond consensus. It’s the fact that Classic Era, is suppose to be Era specific. It shows a lack of integrity on Blizzards part.
To me, they can do what the like with SoD or retail, or wrath, but thats cuz im not a fan of those. There are addons to streamline the games experience into the dirt. So, Why must the company Drag me, and those like me down with them?
