I actually think that group loot is an objectively better system, as it can be functionally PL, or functionally ML depending on what the group wants it to be.

Where in the post is this referenced? Iâve looked at the clarification post on how group loot will work and I see no confirmation of that.

Right, so I stand corrected. This is something Blizzard should address and ensure that if there are no hunters, no bows can drop and vice versa.
Both can be true. I can think itâs a better system, and be enjoying the karma.
How is every single player rolling need on every single item they can equip that much different than PL in practice?

PL doesnât allow you to roll Need on multiple items from a single boss. PL doesnât allow for completely unusable loot (ie, mail in a group with an evoker/shaman/hunter) to drop in the first place.

No, if you kill a boss for that week you are locked out of loot from that boss entirely until the reset.

But PL VERY OFTEN gives loot to players who are never going to use it, and doesnât let them trade it. Those are not different in practice

If there are no demon hunters in the raid, no glaives should drop, as only demon hunters can use them. If there are no hunters in the raid then no bows or crossbows should drop.
This is an important change because tier sets are also going to be dropping from these raid encounters, so no one is going to be happy if there are no shamans but shaman tier drops etc etc.
Itâs a minor change that needs to happen.
Ultimately group loot is fine.
If you disagree, thatâs fine, but youâre not going to change my opinion.
