Pugs shouldn’t be able to switch away from PL in my opinion. And with GL, in a pug, you can’t garantee all the loot goes to a single person or switch anything.
So again, not a real problem.
Nothing elitist about using Council, it’s just a better way to improve the group’s overall performance.
I don’t care about this option being removed. I care that finally my guild environment will feel better after literal years of begging for some kind of assistance and being told over and over that I shouldn’t get what I want from the PL crowd. You want me to be nice and beg for your options to remain when every time I asked for options I got told to shut up and sit down?
Nah. We don’t do that here. I care about my house. And what I know is my house is much happier now. And that’s what matters. Next time, people should be more open to actual discussion off the bat.
That’s the option I advocated for. PL as the default. ML for 100% guild groups if a guild chose it to be. That still wasn’t good enough because “Why should I have to join a different guild.” because heaven forbid people make an effort to join a guild that meets their taste rather than having daddy Blizzard force the issue.
I may be still a little salty. 
GL nobody actually gets the loot until the roll is won.
So Boss dies. Rando clicks boss. A little window pops up on your screen you click if you need it or greed or pass. If you click you need it rolls basically like doing /roll. Highest gets it.
Rando player doesnt “pass it” to you. System sends it automatically.
This means if you join a guild run and an item drops you roll on it you win they cant force you to give it up.
They can be aholes and kick you, but they can do the same with pl if you win it and dont give it to them even if its not an upgrade for you.
So you’re egotistical on top of being an hypocrite.
Maybe you should work on those character flaws.

As someone who has had to deal with Loot Councils, I can safely say 99% of the time they have no clue what is BEST for your character make up (gear stats and talent combo). If I listened to all the stupid suggestions told to me, I would have dog crap DPS. Loot Councils generally want to funnel gear to players who they want to perform best and not who can actually perform best.

It’s not egotistical to say I was treated poorly, as were a bunch of other people advocating for options, and I ran out of the capacity to care. Honestly, that’s just a harsh reality.
Everybody who begged for options in the beginning involving PL was treated poorly and vomited excuse after excuse to not be given the time of day. So I stopped caring. Maybe next time, people will be nicer off rip and be conscious of other people and their environments.
There is nothing hypocritical about not coming to the aid of someone that spit on you, no matter how many times you try to claim it is. I told them then that shutting people down was just going to ensure they wouldn’t be supported when they needed to be, and lookie here… I was right.
edit: If anyone, it’s the people now crying that their option got taken away. Wasn’t a bit deal when our toy got taken. You reap what you sow.

Nah fam, we don’t do that here. Next time, don’t treat other people poorly. If the people who wanted PL to remain in tact actually cared about the environments of others, they wouldn’t have treated people so poorly over and over.
I don’t need to be a better person. I just need to be happy. And I’m more than content with where I am now.

This is just ridiculous. Blaming Blizzards system for the fact that people are mean is a not a valid reason for changing any system.
Same here and I still remember that priest know I needed that gear and disenchanted right in front of me,disheartening .

Hello, I see you posted a thread about loot. Did you know that the greatest, best, largest MMO around, Final Fantasy 14, has both Group Loot AND Master Loot!? It does not have Personal Loot though!

You don’t know what the word “hypocrite means”. There’s zero hypocritical about my current stance.
We asked for options. We got told sit down and shut up. So we sat down and shut up. Now we have a new system. I’m allowed to be happy about it and I’m allowed to voice my stance. You’ll be alright.
Yes it is. The community has always been the reason we can’t have nice things.
Advocating for options when you were the one losing a thing you loved and then turning around and being all “options bad, this good!” when it’s others losing a thing they love.
