Please remove the late TBC anti-dungeon farming changes in Cata Classic

If u have to pull old dungeons 1 group at a time my only recommendation is to git gud. At lvl 85 even tbc mobs melt to dmg.

no, you want more bots?

Bots are not stopped by this in the least bit. They abuse terrain and fly in dungeons.

/who was showing them flooding TBCC in wrath even.

What some don’t get about some bot setups. they already group up as in now anyway. they have to for raid, they need parties to enter.

Say 3 in the party is more uptime. Fill bot 1 bags, bot 2 bags, bot 3. MUle that stuff out, use traveller mount to sell grey/white/crap…and back into the mix.

Combine gold after run. When you run all 3, its still jsut going to the same place at the end really.

This isn’t stopping a single bot.

Dilligaf. Minja. As in minja own business.

Most of the Classic team is probably focused on trying to salvage SoD so they don’t lose their jobs.

And look at those forums. They make Cata general discussion look like a utopia.

I agree with this and would like this system removed

It made no sense when they implemented it in the first place, if the problem was bots farming old dungeons, and you know they are bots, ban the damned bots, don’t penalize players that are playing the game themselves fair and square because a handful of people are abusing the system.

So it’s a self-inflicted problem, then.

That would cause even more problems, though, since people who didn’t finish TBC rep grinding would be SOL if they wanted to go finish it on their mains and any alts being leveled would likely get level-locked to retain access until they have everything they wanted.

…Considering how fast leveling in Cata is right now, boosting would probably be a waste of time in comparison; working on an alt right now and I’m all but outright outleveling the zones I’m trying to quest in even without the +20% I could get from Heirlooms atm.

…Or maybe some of us prefer to take things slow so we maintain as much control of the situation as possible?

I would say no… it’s a problem inflicted on the players by Blizzard. There is no reason to have this mechanic anymore now that boosting isnt a thing anymore. It’s a bad system that should be reverted back to normal.

Let me give you a compliment then. You’d make a great organ donor.

nah, im glad the Taiwanese boosters are gone it just inflates the economy even more because they take that gold from boosting straight to the websites.

I mean, no, it’s a Blizzard-inflicted problem. They changed how the game works. They should change it back.

The exp change alone was enough to destroy boosting.

Do you act like this in real life?

Agreed, would like it reverted.

It probably bring some back if removed.

I know from retail in slumps and droughts…you run legacy stuff. A lot. BFA and SL lacking legacy farming…I’d have been unsubbe more.

See the rng gods laugh at you on in current content once a week…and go spam old crap. YOu may not get what you want from the 4% drops right away. but you get something since all loot goes to you.

Remove anti boosting measures for mob behavior AND the experience gap. There’s dungeons you can do while leveling up with group finder that the whole group gets no exp because of too big of a gap. Remove ALL the poorly thoughtout changes.

Boosting was good for the game! I got roasted so hard for this when I said it at the time but it’s true.

It’s a minigame that people devoted hours and hours to get really good at. What kind of dev punishes player engagement and creativity like that? It never even came close to accomplishing its goals of reinvigorating the early game leveling zones. Plus the manner in which they did the “fix” was so crude.

Every time one, usually a mage, played that minigame 4 players sat at the dungeon entrance and did nothing except pay for their xp with mostly bought gold. How much player engagement and creativity did that take?
