Please remove the late TBC anti-dungeon farming changes in Cata Classic

One easy possibility is if their only spec is healer. :person_shrugging:

If there are any healers that don’t have dual spec and a dps spec I’m sure they’re a very tiny minority.

Holy/disc?

You really think there’s that many priests with a holy and a disc spec? We have no data on it but I doubt there’s many. Tanks and healers were the largest groups pushing for dual spec so we could have a dps spec for questing and farming.

Quantity should not matter.
But I did think of priests because of the ones in my guild who definitely do run H/D.

Bottom line is there’s STILL pointless mechanics in place from two xpacs ago that affect some people. What is the justification for keeping them in place?

Just adds another reason for Cata to be raidlog status and hemorrhage players if novelty farming is kept deliberately inconvenient.

I will try pulling larger packs then, was pulling pretty much the entire undead side of strat prior to the gauntlet with zero issue.

I’m wanting to run into this at least once here.

Interesting choice to solo content but fair I guess

i dont rember that came from session think it was to kill the bosting that pleged classic i just rember it made it harder to level a toon

Aye, ultimately killing the spirit of MMO, where players decide what to do to help each other, not dictated by the ways the devs demand players to play.

With the way Blizzard does things I wouldn’t be surprised if they go. “Okay we’ll remove the anti boosting mechanics and the stun mechanics.”

“However, we’re making it so if the mobs are gray to you in the dungeon you won’t be able to enter it anymore.”

Some real monkey paw stuff. lmao.

sounds about right with the monkey paw stuff, rip.

I have yet to see a good argument as to why we can’t play Cataclysm like Cataclysm was. This change only exists in this version of the game and it makes no sense. I’m playing SoD right now and this isn’t a thing. Right before P4 came out in SoD I was aoe farming on Era and this doesn’t exist.

Fully agree, Blizz should revert these changes.

RFC Troggs - Oh crap here come the adventurers again! I hear they’ve slaughtered dragons! Hundreds of enemies in a fell swoop!

Pffft don’t worry about them.

WHAT!? They’ve slaughtered armies with ease! Stopped the Titans from erasing us all! They’ve prevented certain doom from untold numbers of demons!

I told you don’t worry about it. I’ve been giving him the stink eye for a minute now he totally forgot about casually walking past us don’t you see?

…

A few moments later…

-proceeds to infinitely stunlock and destroy you as a mob that could die stubbing its toe.

It’s crazy how everywhere I see you posting you’re being toxic. Even your post history shows that. Try contributing more than garbage and hate.

No, it was made so Blizzard would have the monopoly on boosting. They want players to spend more money by paying them directly instead of some third party, it’s why classic has been monetized further with each passing expansion, because with a dwindling playerbase their bet is to just milk whatever whales remain even more.

I don’t see the to sell boosts tin foil angle. As when dropped in TBCC it was still jsut the one time buy in a deluxe package. and that was 1 per account limit. Most used that up week 1 of TBCC.

I think the angle was classic devs were trying to sell their failed of vision of a no RDF classic wow.

Since at some point, it was easier to find boosty runs than normals ones. It was just easier. Main makes say 100 gold an hour at level cap. booster was charging 25. For block deals lower level stuff even.

5 runs for 25 gold. done in record time even.

or wait 2 hours to maybe see 3 runs.

So yeah, boosting was real common. Since LFG based dungeon was just not working well for some.

they added boosting killing…and people still made it work. TBCC had the 65 to 70 boosts alive and well. Raid geared xp off pve 70 twinks.

60 raid geared twinks running out those last 5 levels.

Now in a RDF based wow…there is no need to boost really. 1 to 80 is smooth really. Maybe occulus can be “fun” times.

My only gripe with a recent 60 to 70 tbcc run was a few nights were death by ramparts. It got old 6th run in a row really.
