The mount will siphon more gold staying in the vendor than occasionally showing up in BMAH.
Its not 1000s there guy. Try hundreds of thousands. Each token is over 100k. Ive probably spent well over a million on tokens. If i had farmed extra or run a ton of old raids for gold, I could have earned that much. And Im what you call a casual player. Long Boi just isnt worth it. Plenty of people in the world have one that ill just use. Or, ya know, roll a mage and port to a major city. Or, heres a fresh idea. Have an alt sitting at an AH. Log in real quick, then mail an item to your main. Plenty of mailboxes in the world AND portable mailboxes.
there is never a moment where i dont see someone on a long boi i use that. if i got the longboi id use it once with growth elixir or gamon toy and never use it after
There will be more gold sinks in SL and I’m sure they’ll add another big expensive mount to replace the bruto too. OwO
I dunno, it seems to me that Blizz could have had the best of both worlds if they’d just upped the price at the end of the expansion. Just keep it available but raise the price 50% to 7,500,000. That rewards both the earnest gold farmers and the long-term workers.
they did it by proxy putting it on the BmAH but for gold cap since thats what everyone will pay now
it starts at 5m
You should probably learn the difference between “something I don’t think I can do” and “something no normal player can do” because you are off… WAY off.
Instead of repeatedly insisting people are lying, might I suggest you ask for pointers in making gold?
how often will it show up there though? They might sell a couple dozen per year at 9,999,999g or they could sell thousands at 7.5 M.
think of it this way, you cant just waltz into a museum and buy a piece of natural history, like the bone reconstruction of a t-rex unless you have a few million to pay the museum.
I never much paid any attention to the BmAH because the prices were always too crazy, but I thought at least the items started out at a fair price?
Oh well. No one really cared about the mount just the traveling AH, but like water walking it’ll likely become a mount attachment thingy whatever they are called.
Very few people cared about the AH. Most people have an AH alt for that. They cared about the looks and/or the status symbol.
They said they dont want everyone having auction houses everywhere.
Which doesnt really make sense, since you can hearth and get to an AH dumb fast – or just mail all your stuff to your AH toon.
my main mount i fly around on, is the silver covenant hippogryph. with my high elf transmog. status on a game means nothing to me
There are literally dozens of youtube channels explaining how to generate gold as a filthy casual.
Agree. I just checked this morning and there’s a Deviate hatchling on the BMAH selling for like 5050g and there is also one in the regular AH for half as much.
Yeah anyone that would actually care about the auction house already has an alt parked in front of it to funnel any gold and valuables to it. The longboi itself is just a fancy achievement to show off how rich you are OwO
Bingo
how rich you were*
lul
I have over 800,000 gold on this very character. I don’t play as much as I wish that I could, probaly around 12 hours or so a week, but I do every gold world quest, play the AH a little, but just go about the game, and I don’t stream either. Please stop with the hyperbole.
My theory is that the presence of the mount actually caused more gold to go into the game because people farmed in-game mechanisms trying to get the mount and many people didn’t reach the 5 million. I know I didn’t and a couple of people I play with didn’t either, they were lamenting their projections back in August about how they weren’t going to make it.
