It is actually crazy how the culture of WoW changed in the last few years. Playing WoW (or doing anything IRL from sports to work or other games) I understood I wasn’t meant to have everything, and if I wanted something I had to be there and put in the effort to earn/win it.
Now it is just a bunch of entitled temper tantrums from the participation trophy generation.
Parsing matters for such a very small percent of the game’s population. Far more people are playing it at an individual level than they are one that involves group challenges. You can see this in M+ and Mythic raid participation metrics that Raider.io releases.
Why is removing cosmetic rewards or content in general bad for the game? If all you care about is parsing, then it isn’t. But something tells me you’re not playing this thing on a level that most people are.
But if you care about your character presentation, which I wager a lot of us do, because of how popular things like transmog and these specific topics about druid forms are, then having them on display while unobtainable is just a bad vibe for those that weren’t here to obtain them.
If I were a new player to WoW, and I was playing a druid and saw this werebear form and was told that it just wasn’t something I could get anymore, I’d be rather disappointed. There’s no reason I shouldn’t be able to.
Why not? Why shouldn’t feelings be the gauge in this conversation? We’re consumers of a product. Our feelings matter.
Wow is a luxury, not a necessity. Nothing in wow has any meaning in real life, so bringing back an item wouldn’t hurt anyone just like taking away the entire game wouldn’t hurt anyone.
Because it is true. You went and made another thread about CM stuff. When you said everything you can possibly say here in this one.
It doesn’t matter, I’m not wasting more energy on you.
Blizzard can have the last laugh. If they were going to bring back Legion artifacts for mage tower, they would have when reintroducing it. And if they were going to bring back CM sets for MoP, they wouldn’t have just come out and said they’re not bringing them back.
I think all the original mage tower appearances should come back. If you have done the time walking version of mage tower you would realize it is just as hard as it was in live content. You aren’t completing it using 400 level gear.
I got some of the mage tower appearances but I was late coming back and wasn’t able to get all the ones I wanted and I have been playing since BC. I got Teragosa’s Dragonwarth on my mage Illyria-Whisperwind during live content and I don’t care that people can still get it now. I got the green fire on my lock Melancholeah-Whisperwind when it was current and got a Feat of Strength and a Title. I don’t care other people can get it now. I feel accomplished because I did it when it was current. The mage tower now isn’t easy. It is challenging. And there will always be people who can cheese their way through it and go I downed it in two attempts. Well, good for you. I am glad you can! I wish I could lol. If it was that easy for me I wouldn’t have spent all last weekend beating my head against the wall trying to down it on my guardian druid. The appearances you can get from there are unique but it is time consuming for a lot of players. To go and farm for anything is time consuming. There is all this new content and the mage tower is OLD content to many even if they do offer new rewards. Just give people a title for every single class and or spec that they completed during the time they were doing during live content and allow people the joys of seeing those mogs which really aren’t used as often as people seem to think they are. The druid ones are awesome. But so are all the other weapon appearances. And I honestly do not see why people have to be all well you could have gotten it back in Legion. A lot of people don’t even use those mogs. I know I look around. Yeah they are awesome but I really could care less if other people can get them now or not. If they want to make it so it is only available during time walking Legion weeks ok to that too. But I just wish wow would stop taking content out. Leave it in. Make people work just as hard for it if you want. That includes making them even have to farm for items to make it open for them if they want that because farming is time consuming and takes away from the reasoning a lot of people don’t go back to do old content at all. But let people have access to it. The mage tower is back. Allow people the ability to get the items they couldn’t, weren’t able to or just didn’t for a number of different reasons at the time. I mean everyone plays this game for different reasons but giving more people reasons to stay playing like bringing back content people loved is not a bad thing. Feats of Strength are just as important to some people as having the items in the first place.
