Please no more rare drops from holiday bosses

you havent provided any proof either, thanks alot for taking the time to post in my thread though.

have a lovely day!

i’m sorry that your life is like that, i hope things get better for you soon! i do feel very sorry for you that you have nothing better to do.

i’ve told you twice now that the armory does not update instantly, and can take time, so it is not always accurate.

Or make the mount drop 1000% and make players have to keep deleting them from inventory over and over and over and over.

It has nothing to do with removing opportunities, its “make it MORE OBTAINABLE.”

This is what I keep having to do with all the boots I keep getting. It’s like Emerald Dream cloaks all over again :dracthyr_cry_animated:

yeah i would just like the holiday mounts/cosmetics to be more easily obtainable, which was the purpose of the thread.

This is a mmorpg. Where rare items are rare. Limited time items and events are limited time. Random rare items are both random and rare.

The holiday rewards are as obtainable as they need to be. It’s ok for holiday rewards to also be rare.

And not all of them use bad design for holiday events and ignore feedback like this one does.

No. It isn’t. It’s bad design. It annoys people. It makes holidays unfun.

It should be tied to a fun questline that rewards the mount if completed that’s related to the event.

Not agreeing with feedback isn’t the same as ignoring it. And almost all mmorpgs have items that are both rare and limited time. Especially many of the f2p games, they rely upon them to drive up sales of ther gamble boxes.

Just because you don’t like something doesn’t make it bad design. It annoys some while others enjoy the rarity, some find that earning rare items from holidays to be fun.

Normally I’m against this (like for raid drops), but holiday drops 1000% should be on the vendor Even if it’s for a ridiculous amount. (As long as that amount can be earned that year, as currency goes poof when the holiday ends)

But they really just need to implement bad luck protection for every sought after but not 100% drops. Mounts, pets, druid forms, warlock pet forms, etc.

Blizzard literally addressed this, saying they heard and understood. Then ignored it.

We’re talking about holidays and short term events specifically. This isn’t about all RNG items.

This is false. Old Republic, Rift, Palia all have holidays where everything is on vendors to buy for high amounts of currency.

It’s not about my opinion. It’s about actual design. Go play some other games and learn the difference between good and bad holiday/short term event design.

The thread title specifically requests that.

“Please no more rare drops from holiday bosses”

I understand that it’s simply a request to ADD additional ways to obtain the items, but having worded the title as such, the OP is requesting to remove exisiting content, which is a chance for the Headless Horseman mount to drop from the kill, same for the Love Rocket, the Grinch, etc. That’s content already in the game. Don’t take that away, add another option to acquire for those who like grinding currencies.

I didn’t say remove ALL drops.

I said remove RARE DROPS.

A perfectly acceptable solution would be to have NON-RARE DROPS.

Have a lovely day!

i just got it today and most people i know (who bother to kill the boss at least once a day) have gotten it by now, so the rng from this event is much much kinder than the love rocket as an example

im not crazy about rng events over a short timeframe but at least they didn’t curse us with another <1% mount

A guildie farmed for the love rocket mount with 30+ L70 toons and still doesn’t have it. I only did 5 toons so what’s that great RNG “increased drop rate” mean right there.

Terrible.

Rare mounts are fine.

Not everything has to be a one and done event.
