Please never do Early Access again

You are literally playing launch.

You realize zone sharding has been a thing that handles this in WoW for like a decade right?

It will happen, if not with Midnight, then they will do it with The Last Titan. Then they will tell everyone to avoid these issues, buy into the Epic edition for that week of early access. So basically they will be twisting players arms into this BS.

I think I do, seeing as I experienced lag and plenty of people crowding around NPCs during early access launch.

But go off champ. Have fun with being wrong.

i hope they make it a full week in the future. would be nice to have an extra week designated to leveling alts

They got all them flavors and choose to be salty

First, a correction. This isn’t layering. Layering only exists in Classic… sorta. Technically you could call the WM on and off as different layers. What you’re talking here is sharding.

So you’re correct in that sharding “solves” this problem but the person you’re replying to is also kind of correct because often at launch there simply aren’t enough shards or they put too many people in a given shard. Either way, that’s Blizzard’s fault. And it’s not really an argument for splitting the player base.

As long as they keep it as an addition to other things we get Im all for keeping it. If you cant afford it or dont want to pay then thats fine. Its a great time and it just seems like there are a bunch of people salty over nothing of actual merit here.

You do realize where that will lead right?

Coming for The Last Titan,

Legendary edition: $120 get 2 weeks early access.

Epic edition: $90 1 week early access.

Heroic edition: $60 3 days early access.

Base edition: $40 no early access.

Also when early access goes live all current content will be disabled, so to avoid being left out, buy the Legendary edition.

whats the problem? if some of us can afford to spend gold/money on the expensive options then more power to us.

They won’t do it and Blizzard knows this too.

Many of us don’t want WoW to be Diablo Immortal.

loot crates for actual gear is a line i dont want them to cross as well. however, i do not see any issue with early access.

It’s amazing to me people campaign to pay extra money for the same video game lol.

Actually, knowing that mobile gaming cash grabs are insanely popular, it doesn’t surprise me at all lol.

They will cross that line once they realize they can get away with charging more for longer periods of early access though. They will push this stuff as far as they can as long as people like you are fine with it and defend it.

i just pay in gold. its incredibly easy to make large quantities.

they couldve crossed that line at any point tbh. WoW is such a popular ip that it wouldnt have mattered.

Maybe you should call the police if you feel
As if you are being forced into buying something.

Paying with gold is kinda hilarious, because it hinges on people buying gold direct from the game to function.

More throwing money at Blizz.

Also I feel farming 200k-300k every month to save $13-$15 is a pretty low ROI on an hourly wage.

true if thats what youre making monthly.

Aren’t WoW tokens in that range? And you’d need to sell one every month to play for “free”?

Edit - a quick google search says the wow token is currently 284,832 gold.
