Please never do Early Access again

Call it what you want, the semantics don’t matter. We were told S4 of Dragonflight would continue until the 26th. We cannot access key features of S4 of Dragonflight, and the reason why is because of the Early Access. That is a problem.

I had a feeling S4 wouldn’t continue until the 26th, and I feel so vindicated right now. They actually DID handle EA as the real launch day. It shows you their mentality, and the way internal systems work. They see DF as over, so we don’t get any DF functionality. All we get to do is sit in a weird limbo between expansions and watch others have fun. As if this all couldn’t get any more disgraceful…

So basically tell everyone you know that doesn’t have early access to just not login at all until Monday, Blizz loves engagement metrics so much, let’s see how they like it when the players didn’t pay for early access just completely ignore the game altogether.

It’s 3 days, with a general expansion launch around the corner which is going to result in a fair number of people playing.

Doubt they need to care about day to day participation metrics at this point.

Maybe, maybe not, but I bet they would notice the chunk of players without early access not logging in at all for 3 straight days.

3 days from now, millions are going to be playing the new expansion.

That will be what shows up as important.

The launch has been exceedingly smooth despite only having one entry point.

If they split up the playerbase effectively enough where the same happens for non-early access users, this has been one of the best additions to the game ever. At least in terms for expansion launches!

I Have EA. It does help with questing. If you don’t want EA then don’t buy it. The poor people’s launch is in three days anyways.

Smart people launch you mean

You get skyriding a few minutes after reaching the new area.

Smooth is good!

Good!

“Poor people’s launch” is a bit antagonistic. Right now, the biggest problem isn’t that people have to wait 3.5 days for the expansion release, it’s that early access has brought with it problems that make parts of the game literally unplayable, for all players, regardless of whether they’re EA enjoyers or not.

If only I was able to use it. And it’s not a “skill issue”.

EA is awesome, long may it continue.

For 4 days out of 2 years? Lol

So edgy.

Next Superbowl, divide your friends and family into two groups. One group gets to pay $20 each to watch it live. The other group has to wait 3 days.

It’s only 3 days out of 1 year, right?

If you’re this bent out of shape about early access you wouldn’t be playing it early right now.

Fake outrage.

No it doesn’t. If you don’t want to be divided from your friends then just wait to all play together.

Please do it again, it’s wonderful.

EA is a Company, i don’t think that shortcut works

i dunno man, that’s all the advice i could think of giving. no need to get defensive about it.

i mean, you can’t dictate what others will do with their money, but you can always just… not contribute to the problem. :man_shrugging:

They should for sure fix the problems for the people not able to buy Early Access (i heard LFR is gone, honor got taken out, etc) but you are absolutely insane if you think they’re going to stop doing this now.

  1. They made a ton of money off of it
  2. This is the smoothest launch I’ve ever experienced in WoW
