Please never do Early Access again

This is the point.
Makes the launch smoother if like 35% of players are starting at a different time.

Add to that list either move Comp Stomp to 2 weeks after a launch, or just lock it for anyone with early access.

It is nothing short of a money grab by gaming companies. But as long as people pay for it, it will continue.

If you couldn’t put aside $90 then that says a lot. Maybe this isn’t for you.

In my opinion, the player base divides the player base. Everything else is just an excuse. If it wasn’t this, it would certainly be that.

100% agree if that’s something that’s messed up by this!

It was, Comp Stomp now requires level 80, so yeah, it was cut short for everyone and it comes around what, every 3-4 months if that.

Early access killed the spirit of what made expansions so exciting for World of Warcraft. Unfortunately, this is a Microsoft thing they’ve invited. It’s top tier marketing as well, but at what cost?

I’m loving it. Its the first time I’ve ever been able to play on day one because the servers are not over loaded.

WoW has been heavily sharding players during launches since like Legion. The whole “everyone and their mom doing the same quest at the same time” swarm of people thing hasn’t really been around since before that. Doing this doesn’t really change anything because we’re artificially separated anyway.

My response was probably overly snarky. If you look around you’ll see some of the dumbest people on the Internet (not you, to be clear) chiming in on this and probably efvery issue so it gets a bit much.

My point stands though: individual action (in this case just not buying it) will never solve the issue. It also absolves Blizzard of responsibility. Remember too that Early Access was bundled into an edition people might buy for other reasons (eg Beta access). Also, the impact of EA wasn’t necessarily clear at the time, like disabling existing 70 content .

It’s about every 5-5.5 months. The last was in March. The one before was October I think? The next, based on the current schedule, will be next year, probably in 11.1 or 11.1.5.

Exactly. Expansion launches are one of the few remaining shared experiences in modern WoW.

of course. as i said in my first one, i agree with your message. i was’nt trying to imply that you personally are the reason that they’ve done the early access. but like… just trying to say that you buying it, probably did’nt help.

if you get what i’m trying to say.
they hear you complaining, but on the other hand, they’ve still got your money. :man_shrugging:

‘i don’t want to have to pay for this. here’s the money for it.’ sort of thing. kinda mixed-messaging.

again, no anger intended! just… just sayin.

For real XD

Blizzard/EA are a business if they can get extra money by giving 3 xtra early days YES THEY ARE GOING TO DO IT AGAIN.

I think he is talking about guild\friend groups not playing together or being split on launch weekend, less so random people on the server.

“Don’t ever do this again!”

I have the epic edition but I planned to use those early access days farming lfr mogs on all my new alts and comp stomp.

It did not pan out that way :disappointed_relieved:

I mean its launch day and I was able to log in without a queue. I consider that an absolute win.

its the hype. You divide the playerbase just look at twitch numbers.
