Truth hurts?
LMAO, its the kids who want it NOW that largely bought the EA, the adults are happy not to waste money on scummy Activision-era marketing tactics.
Oh, and enjoy your not-real-game access with its gearing restrictions, crafting restrictions etc. etc. which only get removed on the real realse day.
LOL.
You mean it keeps all those people you hate and wish you could force out of your game out of the DC loop you’ll be stuck in?
Yeah, this has really brought out the worst in those who think you can buy character with $20.
I found it a bit odd how many people wanted to not only be a video game tester but pay a company for the ability.
I’m glad all the kiddos got their early access, means they won’t be around to slow down the leveling experience for the financially minded adults.
So many suckers bought into early access I’m sure. I’m just not stupid enough to pay extra. Especially after the rubbish that was dragonflight and shadowlands lol. It’s just FOMO.
“never do a Monday release, it divides the player base”
“never do an August release, it divides the player base”
i hate to say it but… vote with your wallet, OP.
i agree with your message, but like… c’mon.
lol “mythic+ is nerfed to the ground” by buffing how high mythic track gear, most of which is obtained from mythic+, now goes to higher item level.
To the OP I’m sure this becomes the norm because people buy it. Just like the cash shop has kept expanding, deals sometimes for tenders, the wow token, etc. they aren’t going backwards away from money.
They made a quarter of a billion dollars ONLY on the 3 day early access for the new college football game last month. Money talks.
Saw people also upset that guild mates and friends get to play early with each other and got left out of it.
It is a stupid move, design to get people who are addicted to gaming to buy it. And it worked, Wow player base have always been like this. Even south park made fun of us, It is just smart business move to make them pay for the addiction more so. They get to play early, and feed that addiction even sooner.
They whatever they want if you don’t like you stop playing and your stop paying your sub. That’s it that’s your only opinion end of story
I think my only problem here is that for those of us that didn’t participate in early access, we weren’t expecting DF features to disappear the moment it launched. I was planning on using the quiet weekend to clean up some LFR mogs/bullions, but those features have been removed.
The “if you don’t want to buy early access, don’t” mentality only really works if they don’t also nerf the playability of DF.
The vendors are back, but LFR is still not able to be queued for, and there’s the scaling issues that the OP discussed. It’s ridiculous that early access is causing active issues for people who are still participating in season 4 of Dragonflight
I watched a few streams the last hour and a half and I’m now convinced I will not buy TWW. Doing pathfinder with ground mount? No thank you. The area is huge, empty and boring.
The beta was very empty so nothing has really changed.
vote with your wallet, OP.
You mean like how I’ve never bought a store mount and Blizzzard capitulated and removed store mounts?
You’re right. I should do that.
I think my only problem here is that for those of us that didn’t participate in early access, we weren’t expecting DF features to disappear
It’s not the only problem. But it’s a big problem. I don’t think we collectively anticipated just how much would have to be nerfed to enable early access.
Same thing will happen when people learn that M+ was nerfed to the ground to help raiding participation.
This is a whole separate topic. IMHO Mythic raiding as it stands right now only exists to support the R2WF and the situation is unsalvageable. If the only thing Blizzard can do to increase participation is to punish those who don’t participate well, something has gone awry.
I personally find raiding so utterly unrewarding and a colossal waste of time even in LFR. Thing is, I did a lot of raids in Remix. Like 5 max-geared toons worth of raiding. Why? because there was no “if one person does (or doesn’t) stand in a particular circle the whole raid wipes” nonsense.
oh no, this is the thing now. customers have proved they are willing to fork over the money for a few extra days. from here on out, this is going to be how it goes.
It’s just how Xbox has been handling stuff, even the new Indiana Jones game gets 3 days of early access if you pre-order. I’m not saying the decision was made after the Xbox buyout, but there’s a trend going on with studios owned by Microsoft, they all seem to be doing the 3-day early access, didn’t even Starfield, and Halo Infinite?
You have to speak with your wallet to get it to stop.
The beta was very empty
I guess I’ll have to take a stroll through Suramar to cope with what I saw in the streams.
those without ( like myself ) got allot of things ruined cause of EA. comp stomp. lfr. etc
It’s not early access. It’s delayed access. They handled it the way they would handle any normal launch day, DF is now an old expansion. Everyone who didn’t buy epic in is stuck in the old expansion, instead of people who did buy epic getting early access to the new one while the current one is happening.
