Right I’m sure a guild that still hasn’t cleared 6 weeks from now would have cleared no problem within a 4 day window on the PTR. They just don’t want to put in that performance on live.
There were guilds who never got past 8/10 in T5 before it was nerfed making this argument about guilds who cleared 10/10 the first day on the PTR.
It’s nonsense.
The PTR essentially IS progression. The content is available in it’s full form. It’s not taking those guilds weeks to clear.
And the “free consumables” argument makes no sense. That’s a cost saving measure, it doesn’t speed up progress. If a guild can clear in one day on the PTR, that’s 1 day worth of consumables. Any guild on live can obtain 1 day of consumables. If they then take 6 weeks to clear, saying “well our consumables cost us gold!” Makes no difference.

I feel like my guild isnt super insane and we killed Kalecgos in under 10 pulls with no PTR time, and got Brut to 10% in like 5 pulls.
Doesnt really seem that insane. But is definitely some actual progression raiding for a change. I guess some people cant handle not full clearing content on week 1.
Lol 10 pulls is too many for some
They should implement a toggle like normal/heroic and just do that from day 1. Maybe make prenerf drop an 1 more item per boss or something.
Basically this. Plus, it’s been like 5 months since people have had to use a ton of consumes. You didn’t need any for nerfed Vashj and Kael. And, Hyjal and Black Temple were so easy our alt raid would 23 man it.
People should have loads of gold and consumables stock piled by now.
let’s not ruin an iconic wow raid, please.
Kind of interesting because it was never iconic for being good. Just iconic for being brutally difficult.

Except, it wasnt.
Most people are just terrible at games.
it brought on something that wow didnt really have until then: an enrage timer as a limiting mechanic.
enrage timers weren’t really meaningful until this point.
It will take your average, 2 day per week raiding guild longer than 6 weeks to accrue the 100+ wipes you guys suffered through on the PTR. Yes, guilds that cleared week one are better, more dedicated raid teams. This still doesn’t mean the PTR is super super lame and ruins one’s ability to enjoy a fair playing field in the race to KJ.
I don’t mind if they Nerf it.
Nice use of statistic to push your sauce OP
Ya’ll are really asking for nerfs when we finally get a raid that isn’t a complete faceroll lolol

Reminder that needlessly hard content simply leads to a dead game.
The content difficulty is good for sure, but the nerfs need to be in within a month at the most.
Nah, only nerf all the boss when the pre-patch is release.
I prefer wiping for 6 month and never clear SWP than clearing SWP after nerf.

Yeah because nerfed ssc/tk definitely didn’t kill the player base interest in weekly raiding these instances
It did. A significantly amount of players stopped raiding. Most of the people who post here are hopelessly addicted and continue playing regardless, but a lot did quit.
This is also the final patch so it gets really bad towards the end while we wait for 3.0
It’s not needlessly hard. This is the end raid. All that gear and skills that everyone spent the past year accumulating? It was for this. If this raid isn’t a challenge what was the point of spending an expansion preparing, and growing as a raid team?
The game won’t die because a boss presents a challenge, or if some people stop raiding. Wrath is around the corner, they will be back, and in greater numbers.
