I know this is apparently difficult for you to understand, I uninstalled Wrath era on 4/29. Itâs gone.
I will not login to any era Cata or later as I already have modern/retail for Cata or beyond.
Separately, should they ever create a Wrath realm again I will ask for a restore on the characters left abandoned on 4/29.
This seems difficult for you to grasp that it is possible to walk away.
The only âCataâ youâll âsee me inâ is called Modern Retail WoW. Otherwise, eras Wrath and prior. No others.

I did. I uninstalled Wrath era. Blizzard agrees with you sadly. It is what it is.

Iâve been asking for Wrath era and clone service since Cata was announced. I hope they ultimately do it.

Unlike uncle rico, we donât have a choice. Like litteraly. I want to play wrath classic forever so badly. Nothing is stopping uncle rico from going and becoming a bloody pro football player. But blizzard is stopping us from playing wrath.
Now, itâs not entirely true. Wrath private servers do exist. I wonder If I can transfer my wrath classic data and characters over to a wrath private server though. I just donât want to start over again.
Either way, I wasted my time with blizzard. Hopefully I can get my toons and all the stuff they had in classic wrath copied over to a wrath private server.

WoTLK is Retail. Everything is Retail. If you are buying gold and using it in GDKPs, then you are playing a retail version of the game.

My point about uncle rico still stands though. Nothing was standing in his way, preventing him from reliving the glory days any time he bloody felt like it. Or possibly going pro.
But we are legit prevented from playing wrath classic, at the very least officially anyways. And itâs just a stupid comparison in my opinion. And going through some sketchy private server isnât exactly my ideal way of playing wrath. But whatever at this point.
And now, for those who are like, well, just cap at 80 and do wrath. Itâs not the same. We donât have the same talents anymore. Hunters no longer have mana. No old overworld anymore. No farming zulian tigers. Not the same skills and abilities anymore because alot of them are gone. No more hybrid specilizations.
And vanilla era doesnât have any of the bc or wrath content or deathknights, among other things. LIke it is just a massive shame to see blizzard doing 2010 all over again.

I uninstalled WotLK and wonât be playing Cata. I also canceled my account but still have over 4 months left on a 6 month sub. Iâve said it time and time again that Blizzard underestimates the amount of people who can play the same content over and over. I would honestly stay parked in TBC forever; just like P99 players. Classic Era doesnât have enough end game content for a solo player or Iâd just play Era, to me Cata is just retail, except worse.
I think the worst part of all this is the lack of transparency from Blizzard. I just wish they would tell us their long term plans with Classic & SoD. I hate wasting my time & energy on a character only for it to be obsolete. Since they actually released Cata Classic, where do they stop? And what happens to all those characters in the end? Does it just catch up with retail and all those characters convert to retail characters? Iâd really love to know what the long game is.

I donât think we will ever quite know what the long game is lol. I also am not really all that surprised cata classic is this buggy. They did zero testing whatso ever.
I mean, what is to stop blizzard from making shadowlands classic and warlords of draenor classic, two of the most hated expansions within the last decade. I mean, it wouldnât be a big deal if they would at least make era realms to play on. But they arenât.
And the lack of transparency. Good lord. A wowhead post back after blizzcon stated that they werenât doing wrath classic permanent era currently, but were listening to feedback. Since then, they havenât said a darn thing. Which is just soooooo annnoying to be living in complete silence on the whole ordeal.
But the cata classic andies. They can have their buggy cata classic servers. Hopefully I can start on a private server and get all my classic wrath toons transferred over. But I donât think that I can.

If someone is good enough to go pro he only gets the job because the business that employs him thinks they can make money off him. If they donât think they can make money off him he canât go pro. Blizzard doesnât think they can make money of wrath era. Now I suppose he could ask the NFL to hire him as a charitable donation like youâre asking blizzard to do.

But I agree with the general idea here. It would be great to have era realms for each expansion. It should be a fresh realm that never resets or forces you to move over.
They could release such a realm when a new classic expansion is about to start so that people can choose it over the others that will transition into the next expansion.
