they did add an option for them to auto go back to visage form out of combat, they could just add to that to make it so combat doesn’t trigger the dragon form
Wouldn’t mind if they just slapped some horns on other races and called it a day. More options good. But i can’t see them doing it because they’d probably be like “well it wouldn’t be fair if we didn’t give each visage form the same breadth of customizations”
And if they did manage to do that and none of the base races got to share in some of those special customization options (specifically the hair and dual colors), people would get upset at that too.
I’m kinda mad i can’t use any of those reallllly nice hairstyles on my belves.
It doesn’t, currently. You only transform when something requires dragon form, and then you stay in. Unfortunately most skills have animations specific to the dragon, so pretty much everything outside of your filler does it.
I made the suggestion a while ago to allow some of these abilities to just recycle some already existing animations as substitutes so that the idea presented in this thread would be more feasible.

Not with ease.
Many of their abilities are tied to being a dragon.
For example they would need to make a new animation of them flying and breathing fire for this to happen.
And good luck to them finding a way to not make it look stupid as heck

it can work just like eye beam and demon form does for demon hunters. turn into the form for the duration of the spell
Considering we’ve killed several aspects at this point I don’t think they’re 100 million times more powerful than anyone. Especially since the events of Cataclysm.
I know you’re probably exaggerating but allow me to be pedantic. 
Not to mention, the individual player characters are basically demi-gods at this point. The game has been going on for too long and the power levels are all jacked up. Kind of like DBZ.
As for the OP… you can stay in your visage forn for literally everything that isn’t flying or a breath attack. When you use a breath attack in combat, you briefly turn into a Dracthyr and then go back to the visage form (if you have that option toggled.)
This is already a non-issue.

I don’t think they’d need to make new animations for everything. I don’t think they should make new animations for everything. The empower attacks should remain dragon form exclusive, but if those things and hover were the only things that transformed you, and everything else had a substitute, and you transformed back when you were done, it would be neat.

His motivation matters a lot towards HIS request.
He wants it so he can pretend he is playing a high elf.
That much is clear and obvious and should not be respected.
Any request so that people can pretend their dragon character is not a dragon should be disregarded.
Anyone else who wants it for other reasons should be heard out.
Its very simple.

I think the problem is some of the animations are very fundamental to the dragon form, i suppose they could add a wing animation to visage that then disappears but i think that’s outside the scope for now. It would take a lot of work to make that happen, as a glyph down the line however its much more of a possibility.
I dont like “stupid candy flavored coffee drinks” …so i don’t order them. I also hate melee so… i don’t play melee classes.
Solid chance exists that this class may not be for you if the “stupid dragon part” of the DRAGON based class / race puts you off.
This is like asking to play druid tanks in human form except for when you swipe.
The whole point of the class is to be dragonkin. If you don’t like it well that’s kind of too bad since they designed the class they wanted in their world not the class every individual person in the game wants.
If Blizzard is willing to give you a glyph to achieve your goals i could care less but otherwise they really shouldn’t take this kokd of feedback into ruining a unique dragon class that was meant to be played in dragon form.

They’re humanoid dragons. Who seriously cares if one of the many artists who worked on the race was a furry? It changes literally nothing. The Dracthyr are Draconic in origin.
Don’t play an evoker.
You people need to stop. Having visage form be useable in combat literally hurts nobody. I’m starting to think you guys only care so much just to be irritating and just to not let people have what they want cause you don’t have everything you want. It’s like a form of jealously, meticulously hoarding over others’ options as to make everyone else just as miserable as you are.
I don’t believe the opinion of such people carries any weight. Just buzzkills, drags who will scream into the void at anyone just trying to have fun.

Don’t worry, you’ll probably be able to permanetly stay in Visage Form whenever they give Dracthyr access to other classes. 
I’m not in the mood to be waiting years. Maybe they could just actually finish the race now instead of trickling little updates through each expansion. Updates mind you that should have just been tied to the race from the start.
Well they can’t really make Evokers stay in Visage Form all the time 
It doesn’t make sense to see a flying elf spitting out fire from their mouth…
And if you make it work like DH’s brief Metamorphosis, it doesn’t work either - you’d have your character CONSTANTLY changing in and out between forms.
So yeah, sadly it looks like you’ll have to wait until they give the Warrior class to Dracthyr. I doubt it’s going to take “years”, though, I’d wager it’s something we’ll see developed during the expansion in some major patch.

It’s supposed to be a dracthyr, not an elf. Let it be a dracthyr. If anything, get rid of visage form.
