I hope to be able to have adventures on an RPPVP realm after they see that people want this.
We’ve been on the forums for what we want before. we can do so again

Didn’t they claim to have a spare server in case the PvP one got to be too crowded? Seems like it would be easy enough to set it as RP-PvP before the weekend – unless that server is the one that was given to the Oceanic players.
I’m worried that people will be too reluctant to swap after the weekend, especially if it’s a holiday. They’ll just have too much progress to be willing to restart.
we only had a week to know we would have these servers. A realm could be instantaneous the second that Blizz makes up their mind.
I think between people potentially getting their names that they want would motivate non RPPVPers to join even if it’s some time after launch. Pretty much nobody got names that they wanted without having alternative letters
I get excited every time I think about an RP server, especially RPPVP. I’d reroll in a heartbeat despite being lvl 16 already haha. Blizz please!
I’m not a PvP’er at all but honestly after all this time in this thread, I’d go RP-PvP at this point if it were the only RP option.
From what I’ve heard, PvP isn’t as painful on RP realms as it is normally. I’m definitely not generally a PvPer, but I ended up deciding that it would be worth trying if it came with a good community.
Yes, for the most part, Grobbulus was very sportsmanlike and reasonable.
Most of us recognize it’s just a game and there’s a person just like you behind those pixels you’re beating up on. Camping is frowned upon.
Respect the 1v1, bro.
So it looks like the whole shtick of “never say never; we might open RPPvP if there’s enough numbers” that Tom Ellis was peddling on twitter was just a lie, huh? Hard to claim there isn’t enough population to support another server when he’s now bragging about how they’ve stuffed 50 servers worth of population into just 3…
I prefer to play on RP servers as well.
And the simple fact of megaserver life is not the proper environment to foster an RP community either, considering your encounters KIND OF DEPEND ON being in the same layer. That’s a VERY impossible task if you’re trying to schedule a skirmish with the opposite faction and the realm has 10+ layers.
They didn’t listen, they don’t care. Just want to brag about their megaservers.
ABOMINATION.
Yea you don’t really get credit for that when you simply deny people their preferred server type and corral them onto the ones you wanted to brag about.
Adding my voice to having a RP-PvP realm included for this second go of Classic. They’ve been good about it before with SoD to meet demand, so I’m optimistic they’ll do it again.
We can always hope.
I’m not done fighting the good fight, because even just 1 day on the regular pvp realm has shown me the difference in community. The layers are wild, I’ve had multiple casual slur using weirdos in my groups, and very little kindness. I just want a place to vibe on my tauren. Please, Blizzard, add an RP realm. To those of you who have given up the fight, what scratches that rp itch in classic? Or, is it all dead?
I know it’s silly, even as a solo player I love just RP walking even if I don’t have people to RP with. It does make me feel a little self conscious doing it on standard PvE and PvP realms though lol.
Honestly there isn’t anything else that will scratch the itch lol I think at this point we just have to get over the fact that they’re not going to do it and adapt to normal servers while holding out some hope that they might take mercy at some point later.
I’m just not playing. The community on EU is pretty bad atm.
I’ve organized my chat windows and pushed all the global chats over to their own tab. This way I don’t see any of the stuff unless I want to, and whenever I post my guild recruit macro I can easily ignore any negative response… If people are actually interested in joining, they whisper.
That said, there hasn’t been much interest yet. Did get one random person to join, and they ran around with myself and a dedicated RP friend of mine to quest in Durotar, doing some light RP along the way. Mostly just some orc talk while questing but it was fun for me.
There’s stuff happening, albeit very casual so far, but I think that’s just to be expected since we literally just started the game… The entire server community will never be comparable to a smaller dedicated RP-PvP server, but I think if we all make an effort to band together we can make at least a small something work. Still holding out that we get acknowledged by Blizzard, but I’m not gonna let myself get deterred by the overarching community (which is awful btw).
Blizzard! Acknowledge me.
