RPPVPers are getting mocked in general chats when trying to recruit on Nightslayer. Please blizz, let us have an RPPVP server
why did it give me an cursed emoji when I did a blessed emoticon
And a normal RP one too for folks that donât like getting ganked.
I completely get why this would be preferred for some players, but unfortunately there just arenât enough roleplayers to sustain two realms. The majority have been asking for a PvP realm, so an RP-PvP server is probably the best-case scenario with the greatest chance of maintaining a healthy population.
RP realms on classic donât seem to get the same traction that RPPVP ones do, but tbh it could probably sustain both. I fear we wonât get either.
I havenât seen this happen at all.
when advertising in general chat they got odd comments from others on the server, iâve seen it firsthand in general after joining an RP guild on here.
Blizz should release an RPPVP server so that we can be on our own and not have to interact with people who dislike us.
If you donât believe it happens or exists, just scroll up on this thread. Thereâs probably a good few hundred posts of chronically online people first trolling, and then gloating the RP realm wasnât added. That level of energy is times 10 in-game.
Blooms only comes around to gaslight people. Best to pay it no mind and carry on.
many of my friends arenât coming to these servers because the communities outside of RPPVP servers are toxic to RPers. Blizz, please just let us have an RPPVP serverâmore coin will be made, and there will be an environment where RPers can enjoy your world without being mocked.
50 OG launch wow realms worth of players in three fresh realms. Noice. China has a realm where all 50 are in a single realm, theyâve going Hardcore into Hardcore.
Decided to check Twitter one last time, and this is from our wonderful friend Tom Ellis, senior game producer. Knowing that itâs been determined the original vanilla servers were made to cap around 3k concurrent players, that means we have 150k players across the four realms⌠Yet, somehow weâre still concerned about a fifth server being made for RP-PvP? Because itâll âsplit the communityâ?
This is a massive amount of players, and I wonder what the size of the âmega-serversâ were that ended up being artificially created during Classic 2019. Also, can we please acknowledge the fact that whatever possible dips/lulls we experience during vanilla content, the players lost will be regained partially, if not fully, by the return of players old and new coming into the already known BC expansion next year?
Population as a reason is such a faulty excuse, Blizzard just doesnât believe RP is something to be considered and catered to specifically anymore.
Didnât they say that they would make an RP realm if they thought it would have a healthy population? We donât need a megaserver worth of players, just enough to be equivalent to a standard realm with fewer layers. Surely, with such a successful launch, they should have reason to believe that such a requested realm would do perfectly well.
It feels like this canât purely be a case of âwe donât think that there would be enough playersâ. Why is Blizzard so reluctant to give the roleplaying community our own realm, and why has communication been so sparse?
Iâm holding out hope that if we continue to rabble-rouse, we will get the server we want. 2019 and Emerald dream were earned through asking for what we want. They see that we are here, and if we continue to petition, we will get what we want hopefully.
Every other version of the game has sustained both just fine.
Itâs just a shame, because RP communities have always been a niche/minority in pretty much every single MMO - save for a very select few. So RP-specific servers are rarely an option because player base sizes just donât typically justify one (or the in-game lore is too lacking)
But WoW has both - and aside from FFXIV and LOTRO probably is the only MMO thatâs able to justify dedicated servers for it. So for them to completely neglect it, isnât just doing a disservice to the WoW community, itâs a disservice to the RP in MMORPG in general.
itâs especially unfortunate especially given how much bigoted language is increased on servers that arenât RP. I hope blizz is holding out to reveal it to us and not have it get floodedâor that theyâll listen to our wants, but itâs hard to not feel hopeless for an RPPVP server at this point.
I was talking to my non-gamer wife about all the disappointment of not having an RP server and her response was âWith the Netflix movie going? Are they serious?â
I just spent an hour on Nightslayer. The Bros have definitely pissed their circle around world chat. I signed off when I saw an Oceanic guild advertising. You canât make it up.
Blizzard - please open the server. Please. Name it Ibelin⌠what a tribute. Take the win. We all can win.
This is correct. My friends kept asking for an RP-PVP server (the concept didnât exist at the time) and it was launched in 2005 as a fresh server and when it launched they quit their accounts and everything they had earned on Tichondrius or Blackrock or Ilidan and rolled on ED. I rolled my first wow toon in 07 on Scarlet Crusade (RP) and then went Horde on ED and never looked back.
We need to keep asking, kee mobilising, keep petitioning until Blizzard hears us. And if any one of us cancels the sub, BE SURE TO MENTION THAT ITâS FOR A LACK OF AN RP-PVP SERVER.
This actually works. When the decision makers can tie money to it, it really has power. I remember back in the day when Will of the Forsaken got nerfed so it shares a cooldown with the PvP trinket. I just happened to be taking a break, but I put WOTF nerf as my reason for unsubbing.
Maybe it contributed, maybe it didnât, but they changed it later to make it only start a 30 sec cooldown instead of sharing the entire cooldown with the trinket.
itâs truly tragic that Blizz hasnât taken care of RPers when more people have started to learn about the hobby. I hope they can see that thereâs value in it.
