No RPPvP or even RP server really kills my interest. Sad to see there aren’t any on launch, but here’s hoping for the future.

Perhaps keeping the thread alive for a few days more is good, but theres no telling if they will give us an RPPVP sadly.
it took five months to get Grobbulus, I’d say we’ve done well in a week, and there’s still hope, but I don’t know if people are as committed.

Perhaps they are waiting to release something after the initial launch, but the fact they won’t just come outright and say no additional servers is frustrating.
Is there a link to this? Would at least check it out before ruling out this version of wow

I do wonder if, to solve the “investment,” problem, and this is a big if, they could/might temporarily open up free transfers to an RP server to keep the community together and populate it. At this point, more of a pipedream than even getting the server, but still, a thought I had

I’d wait a week or so before having hope fully extinguished, but it’s not looking great. Blizz has kept us in the dark before, they may be doing it again–especially if they keep shutting down other RPPVP threads

Yes, (and this is entirely speculation), but if they’re concerned of Streamers killing the server again, they would do something drastically different than last time.
I think the 1 week is to ensure that people who are anti RP won’t go to the RP realm–and besides, we didn’t know there was going to be a server last week. This situation of little prep time means that anything can happen essentially.
I’m holding out for a realm.
I doubt they would release one while we’re still getting threads about faction locks and connection issues. That’s a good recipe to recreate the SoD server fiasco.
Once the initial wave dies down, I’m hoping they announce a realm with a set release time so people have a chance to do their name rush again. I think names are more a deal breaker for people than most things.

exactly. I think now would be the worst time to reveal a realm, unfortunately. They know the RPPVP community is there, and they had made the monty python reference to potentially 5 realms. With people not being able to even get into their faction on Nightslayer, adding an RPPVP realm could just make it into an overflow dumpsterfire.

Same. I’ll check from time to time to see if they make one… since I stupidly started my sub up again. but still, I have a sour taste in my mouth (unless they are playing 3d chess with the streamers like that other person suggested, but I’m thinking that’s giving them too much credit lol)

I have all my names reserved on Dreamscythe just in case but I’m holding off on actually playing until the weekend.
Never know what tomorrow may bring.
Not giving up hope but at the same time I don’t want to deprive myself of the game I love just over one detail.

People Roleplaying on the PVP realms are being harassed for doing so! We desperately need RPPVP realms to be able to have a good time!

That’s my major reason for wanting a separate realm honestly.
Even if the population is worse, the vibe just isn’t the same when you talk in character and someone hits you with “You some kind of roleplayer or sm?”

We knew that this was going to happen, regardless of the many people who insisted that we could roleplay on any realm. The community is not going to be able to have a good experience outside of a dedicated realm, and Blizzard needs to add one as soon as possible for it to have any chance of surviving.
