Two pvp servers will be a mistake. Lets just call the one we have an rp-pvp server so these people feel spcecial.

to be fair at least they gave us fresh - just not a lot of of time as weâve been pvping and progressing on realms (DD fresh project). but I agree with all the above sentiments, RP realms have people who enjoy the game, not just want to beat the game - which itâs a 20 year old game and has been beaten over and over. but lets not gloss over the fact they are giving us fresh classic servers.
More than one means one horde and one alliance for the mentally soft. One layered server is the only way to attempt faction balance.
Lets be real, role players can go and role play anywhere. You have plenty of options to exercise your fetishes. A lot of us want to play the game, faction balance is needed for healthy world pvp.
I started as horde on the âfresh projectâ on deviate delight - but we had no alliance so had to reroll - if itâs a pvp server you have to try to see some semblance of balance - pretty sure I was the first alliance to die in wpvp on the realm.

As of now, no, but theyâve reserved the right to add one later. Weâre asking them to do so at launch.

They omitted all RP, not only RP-PvP. Shoot that good old village feel of small servers, Kaiwax was so keen on preserving!
If only they enforced the naming rule ⌠sigh.
In the EU the RP-PvE erver was swarmed by lots and lots of players not wanting to stay in a queue. I read this then, and refound it now:
If you never or only seldomly saw griefing on a RP server, you can count yourself lucky indeed. Griefing on Hydraxian Waterlords (EU PvE-RP server) took many forms. Stomping and /trainâing over meetings, burials and weddings, laughing, /chickenâing, deriding and deliberately naming characters stupid things. Last I looked some of the offenders from the first days were still around, so asking Blizz to enforce their naming policy is not succesfull.
In small amounts, yes, I played RP-PvE right from the start and would have agreed with this up to launch of Classic. But with only one PvE and one PvP server per region, we would get swamped.
This is such a good idea, RPPVP servers would be amazing. You have my sword in this fight

If they release an RPPVP server they need to release a second PVP server at the same time so that it catches the overflow before the RPPVP server does.

You sound like Tom Ellis, the person who makes the final server decisions for every iteration of WoW. He didnât get it either when he wrote the most condescending post Iâve ever seen from Blizzard on X to the RPers who just wanted to play on Chaos Bolt when they closed it (which at the time had a decent population). I almost donât want to say this because creating or not creating an RP server for âfreshâ, will be his call too, but if it doesnât happen itâs because he does not get it still.
Faction balance may have been a valid concern, but the PVP realm will already have the caps in place to stop what youâre concerned about. Itâs right in the announcement. Did you even read it? Maybe you should educate yourself before making posts like those you have in this thread:

+1 to this! Raided with the Bluffwatchers, and Iâll miss having other guilds and people who participate in RP events on the server! Coordinated PvP at certain places, a farmers market, a gambling event, all the works!

My key point for enjoying RP-PvP is seeing and engaging with people just casually RPing, fun characters, some folks getting real into it, and the events put on by the community to just chill out and have fun. These events often including PvP as part of it, and as was said itâs a different kind of PvP environment. Really hope they add just the one!

Firstly, people who havenât played on an RP-PvP realm should not be offering their take on things. Offering your opinions about things u know little about is a bad habit in life, donât do it.
RP-PvP has always hosted the oldest and largest WoW communities there ever was, with its guilds, friendships, and players dating back to Cataclysm in December, 2010 on the FULL realm Emerald Dream (RP-PvP US).
The community migrated to Grobbulus in 2019 Fresh release and was equally as relevant, with guild feuds, guild drama, costume contests, and RP productions from guilds such as Clan Battlehammer, the all dwarf RP guild, that would march its army thru the halls of Ironforge prior to battle. Horde had several influential RP-PvP guilds who where not only decent at RP, but also PvP. Itâs not exclusive.
Unfortunately, the Grobb community was hit by a streamer âmeteorâ in SoD, when a popular streamer chose the RP-PvP realm for all the streamers to use, which brought with it all the negatives when their viewers flooded the realm during the critical launch week. Of course they became disinterested shortly after, but the damage was done.
The launch was a disaster for the Grobbulus community, locking many out of Crusader Strike Realm. The community was splintered with some having to roll on the Chaos Bolt Realm (US). It has never fully recovered, but now it has a chance to.
I am calling all current and veterans from the Grobbulus communityto demand an RP-PvP realm. It will be guaranteed to be FULL over the progression. Donât try and force that community onto the one mega PvP realm.
Given the RP-PvP realm is ALWAYS the full/locked realm during a typical expansion time period, why do we not have this realm type?
WE NEED an RP-PvP realm.
