I’m starting an RP guild on Fresh PVP Horde just in case they don’t give us an RPPVP server.

Peeposcam is Manuredps if that’s what you mean.
He’s done this thing with hating on RP-PVP servers, and the people on them, for a long time. As you probably remember.

Easy +1, no rp-pvp is a silly oversight. They will most likely have to open more servers anyway, if classic 2019 launch taught us anything.

+1. The exclusion of RP-PvP in Classic Classic is an extra slap in the face considering how the community was treated in SoD with the effective killing of Chaos Bolt. Would be really nice to see an RP-PvP server here for the RP-PvP community to continue.

It’s really disheartening to not see my server return after all the fun times I had with my friends. Lots of them aren’t coming back to classic without an RP server, and i’m on the fence myself if I can’t do RPPVP.

I’m LDG/nixums. I was one of the former moderators of Chaos Bolt and Mutanus (unofficial rp-pvp) discords and rightfully blasted blizzard for closing both. I was also OG Deviate Delighter, who remembers such names like Liteninghoof the legend (PBUH).
I’m just throwing my hat in the ring here for an official RP-PvP server.

Oh I can shed light on the dwarf with Felstriker drama.
His name was Liteninghoof, and he was the most famous Deviate Delighter. He would constantly spam LFG soft ressing various equipment from dungeons, such as Ironfoe or Felstriker and became a meme for it. He was crowned King of Ironforge and we gave him his own bible. What I’d really like is for a youtuber to feature him in a “wow’s most infamous players” video one day, he deserves it.

They 100% did not roll on it because it was easiest to coordinate, they went there because of Grobs legacy in classic. Their fans ( not all of them obviously ) did not care about RPing and it just became THE mega server because of the streamers. I know im just QQing but that server from an RP PoV was absoultely miserable.

There will be a need for an RP PvP realm. Why it was left out… makes no sense. We already prosecuted our case and Blizzard agreed. This time is no different.

Playing on Grobb was one of the best times I’ve ever had in wow. It kept things fresh and fun while playing through a game I’ve already experienced so many times. Coming up with a character and participating in RP events that had server wide implications was amazing.
Grobbchella was one of the best events I’ve ever seen. Horde and Alliance hanging out in Booty Bay with a twitch streamed DJ with different areas of the town hosting different styles of content. I remember a comedy area, a story area, obviously the dancing areas. You just don’t get that kind of community participation in a normal pvp/pve server.
RP gave us tons of reasons to do things. The Grobb faction control map was also great as it showed which guilds were “responsible” for the protection of certain zones meaning if you wanted a good fight against people it was always easy to find them. We had massive fights over land and farming resources that definitely weren’t necessary for gameplay purposes but gave so much more weight to decisions made in the world.
I remember walking into the inn in wetlands to find one of the dwarven only guilds had taken it over and were throwing a massive rager. A half naked drunken dwarf challenged me to a fist fight when I bumped into him. After the fight we ended up hanging out talkin in the inn for awhile. I ran into that guy multiple times throughout my leveling experience and saw him many times during war efforts. I remember sitting outside the dark portal where we shared our last drink before walking into the “unknown”. An experience like that just made the world feel so alive and constantly growing .
All my friends had said if there was a RPPVP fresh classic server we would all come back to play classic 100%. Without there being one we are really on the fence. I’m really hoping for Blizz to once again see that RPPVP players are loud and proud and desire a server.

Why cant you just do all of this on the PVP server. Does it really have to be called a RP-pvp server?

It’s truly tragic to see it have to happen over and over again. I would hope they would just know we would be there at this point, but I guess not.

Because then roleplayers don’t have to jump through hoops to know where to go for potential roleplay on classic. The amount of RP guilds in Classic already isn’t a lot, the RP community can’t handle being split apart that much.
