Learned the hard way with Chaos Bolt. I think blizzard only listens to streamers and thinks everyone wants a mega-layer mega-server with no soul.
But I am in favor of chaos bolt 2.

Oh, wait, if there might be a 5th realm (Oceanic, maybe) then perhaps theyâre waiting for people to coordinate for these realms because there will be two PvP ones? So they released the names early and are delaying announcing the extra two until streamers and such have coordinated that theyâll be going on Ferocity to avoid the Season of Discovery stuff happening again?
Itâs a bit of a reach for sure, still fun to theorize though.

I donât know folks. Iâm not seeing it. An incompetent (or maybe just underpayed) social media person running the @warcraft twitter account, maybe posting a copy from a time before the 3-server decision was made, and a checked out forum moderator merging similar threads seems a lot more plausible than them delaying an RP & RPPVP announcement and giving us clues with King Arthurâs miscount.
Iâm pretty sure this 20th anniversary thing is just a waiting room for classic+, and theyâre trying to be as cost-effective with it as possible. Not having to merge servers, transfer people, etc. is way more cost-effective.
Remember, this is the first classic launch since Microsoft took over.
I would be over the moon if RP and/or RPPVP servers are happening, im just running out of hopium.

Oh itâs 99% cope, for sure. But there is still the tiny possibility that even if they arenât currently planning an RP server, theyâll change their minds in the next two days. Iâll take that.

Honestly even classic+ as a concept is probably cope (despite how badly I want it). Wasnât there that leak that blizzard higher-ups basically hate classic because it doesnât have enough microtransactions?
Understood and by god i hope you are right, iâm just saying heâs a Community Manager. His job is to keep this place tidy, not to report on feedback.

To anyone that says this is just isolated stuff the general chat of the server is literally always popping off with every vile thing you can think of and there are a multitude of content creators that often have insider information with blizzard in said discord. At that point itâs almost entirely being endorsed.

I have seen Blizzard merge threads on here and then make changes to âroll back thingsâ after an announcement. In fact, this is exactly what happened when MoS was rolled back for Era, just a few months ago. There were complaints and they merged all the threads into one and then they put out a blue post two days later.
Saying that, having the message from Kaivax seemed a bit cryptic but that may mean they will only do 3 because as you said they want to be as hands off as they can.

RP-PvP servers have been in the game since Vanilla patch 1.8. If blizzard is truly going for the classic experience with as little deviation as possible, then RP-PvP servers should be in.

i challenge any blizzard dev to join the fengris discord, bonus points for joining vc and actively state they would love to interact with these players on a daily basis. give us another server. multiple more would be ideal actually but id be fine with just a rppvp one as well.

Blizzard also knows that the RP-PvP realms have the highest player retention over time. Some of these losers have been playing on them for over 10+ years. that is ALOT of sub $.
