an RPvP realm really is crucial. letās face it, thereās two types of pvpers, the sweaty tryhards who do whatever streamers tell em, and true classic fans 
itās important that these two populations can separate if they desire to.

While PvP vs RPPvP has a very different environment, let us focus on the positives to our best ability.

There really is no other way to MMO than on RPPvP. Competitive gameplay on PvP is fun, but itās so bland outside of that. RPPvP is the spice that makes MMO such a unique and epic experience, where community cultivation is so important.
My time on RPPvP will always be more memorable than the time I spent on generic PvP servers. Thereās such longevity with RPPvP too as there is such an urge to invest in the server and community.

Agreed. The memories I have on the PvP server are few, though they are mostly from the people I met and nothing else (which is still fine).
But I can say with absolute certainty that RPPVP is the first time I had ācommunityā memories that existed outside of guild or friendships.

At this point Iām on the fence about playing this fresh, an RP-PVP realm will make the decision for me as I know that playing on it will be the most fun and thatās the point for me. So fingers crossed.

Iām on the fence too I will give it a shot but Iām worried that I will lose interest. We shall see. It depends a lot on how they implement dual spec.
Playing an RP-PvP realm would help a lot though. Thereās a LOT of players I donāt want to interact with out there.

Iāde like to express support for RP-PVP as well. The most fun iāve ever had playing has always been on these servers.

The interest in RPPvP is infectious. I think there is much larger interest in this server type than this post reflects. People want PvP, but they donāt want to deal with the toxic baggage that comes along with it. RPPvP provides a meaningful PvP experience, along with giving regular players the opportunity to experience the immersion that comes with RP. The events that take place on RPPvP are so much fun and break up the monotony found on regular servers.

I hope people from Blizzard have taken the time to read through this giant thread and can see how much real support there is for an RP-PVP Realm.
The only people arguing against it are the lifetime griefers and trolls who think that somehow their regular PVP server will be DOA if a minority portion of the playerbase is given a viable option to avoid them.

I am an RPer that plays on RPPVP servers to be with my guild, but itās absolutely true that the Grobbulus community was one of the most special and engrossing experiences Iāve had with WoW.
I donāt think itās accurate to say that there was RP griefing was āvery rareā on Grobb, but the mix of PVPers and RPers brings something truly unique and worth the griefers, toxic WPVP guilds and streamer gangs that exist(ed) on the server.
While Iām a peaceful Tauren that hates ganking and one-sided WPVP, the option of violence makes peace and collaboration a more interesting and immersive choice to make.
If Blizz is making one server of each type, it makes absolutely no sense to leave out RPPVP.

This is a good point about the choice of interactions you can have on a PvP type server. I love active PvP, but there are many ways to approach PvP interactions besides the typical Red is Dead mantra. Of course you can have that Red is Dead mentality, but it feels like people get hung up on that being the only way to play PvP.

Iāll add my voice of support for an RP-PVP realm if it increases the chances of getting a non-PVP RP realm to play on.

Hard agree on the interest being greater than even this enormous thread represents. I, and many others in this thread, have virtually never posted in these forums except to express support for RP-PvP realms. Dual spec, instant mail, those are window dressing for us that we can deal with or do without. RP servers, especially RP-PvP, create players that are willing to stick around for years because of how good it is.
Throw us a bone, Blizz. QuelāSerrar, RP-PvP anniversary realm.
