Here here, Bloomhoof 4 Prez
I have always enjoyed my experiences the most on RPPvP servers. It is the most authentic WoW experience, and one that was created with Azeroth as its stage.
If you need any extra reasons to consider adding an RPPvP server just consider watching (or remembering) the Netflix show The Remarkable Life of Ibelin and know that there are lifechanging and genuinely great experiences that come out of the RP world and to have one RPPvP server would be enough to harbor a community that will last and also see your game played as it was intended to, which is the spirit of this whole Classic WoW movement to begin with.
Please open 1 RPPVP server! Itās some of the best WoW Iāve played. Feels bad excluding that community again.
They defiantly need to make at least one RPPVP server.
My friends and I are super excited to get back into wow on a fresh classic server.
Hello friends,
Iām not one of the many to enjoy the classic launch in 2019 nor one who experienced much of the āend-gameā back when WoW first launched. I didnāt come back to enjoy classic until fairly recently. It was meant to be a one-off sub to trip down nostalgia lane before moving on to the next flavor of the month.
Iāve realized more and more over the years that I donāt game for accomplishments, achievements, world firsts, or leaderboards. I game because I want to feel something. If I can connect with a character or a group of people then I can add some longevity to what I spend my time on.
An RP-PvP server fits my needs perfectly as a place to call home, make friends, and feel as close as possible to those initial years.
Please consider my request for a RP-PvP server to be included with the fresh launch next Thursday along with all the others who have voiced their enthusiasms here as well.
We all want to thrive while continuing to enjoy the content provided by this truly special game.
Thank you,
As editor in chief of the Daily Deviate RP Newspaper, I have to raise my voice and say that it is extremely important to have an RP-PVP Server as most folks who roll on an RP-PVP server love the experience so much they rarely go back to normal PVP unless forced to.
RP-PVP is a tight knit community and is only growing.
Hear, hear! As a proud member of the Deviate Delight Fresh Movement, I approve this message.
We dont need a second Grobbulus cesspool
Hot diggity dog, I remember the Daily Deviate! I think I still have a few of them saved somewhere. This is the type of stuff we need in Classic Fresh.
Massive agree to this movement! Iāve played wow since wrath and dabbled in numerous server types and versions over the years. Playing RP-PVP classic is truely the best version of the game for that dnd-style creative immersive gameplay. People are more likely to interact in small fun ways like duelling on top of a cliff or playing hide-n-seek on a zeppelin. Or big ways with server and guild events. Regular pvp servers Iāve always found turn into min-maxing raid logging zones. But the encouraging of RP means people can sandbox their own challenges Or mini games with more acceptance. Iāve also found them to be far more inclusive and less hostile to people of different backgrounds. Even subtly by allowing people to be in character and not judging them based on their IRL persona.
I cannot believe there is not an RP-PvP server option but I would choose that immediately and I think longterm RPers would choose it. maybe they will if they see the pop of the fresh servers. but at least we are getting a fresh that leads to tbc.
Classic was a lot of Fun on Grobbulus due to the RPPVP community that spent countless hours making their own pvp content and having fun in the open world, as well as having vast storylines and lore between each other. Let us return to the realms where Azeroth feels the most populated and immersive.
Just a friendly reminder that if an RPPVP server is added, that will be the streamer mega server like crusader strike because it will be logistically sound for them to settle there.
The only way it could be successful is if Blizzard announces the names of the realms beforehand, and launches with more than one PvP server so people are less likely to worry about the PVP server being locked due to faction balance.
Barring these dynamics, the RPPVP server will simply just be a streamer mega server. There will be no RP happening. Just a split PvP community where the actual PVP server becomes a small one that has to be merged into the RPPVP server where no RP is happening.
just ban every streamer. good riddance honestly
I think one of my favorite memories is the Grobbulus 1 year party (I believe it was?)
Both factions met near Gadgetzan and just partied. There was actually very little to no griefing going on at all, just people having a good time.
im begging and crying for RPPVP once again
Someone on another thread suggested that a RP realm could be added after a week or two of the others being live, which would probably lower the chances of this happening. It would definitely bring other issues, though (mainly in regards to player count; Iād imagine that a lot of people would be unwilling to wait that long, or would be reluctant to restart had they made progress on one of the other realms). I imagine that it would only have a chance of going well if Blizzard was very clear in stating that it was going to be launched; we would need to know before the other two realms went live so people could plan accordingly.
Well there you go. I mean honestly I would like it if they released a new realm to jump in the middle of things a month before AQ opens. That was my vanilla experience. A server that open January 2nd, 2006 was the best part of wow for me.
I would certainly support adding fresh servers during the timeline of this year and a half. But back to your point, the idea about adding it a week later is sound.
That sounds terrible. Adding it a week or two in just makes it DOA. People wonāt want to waste progress.
While I understand the intention, looking at past patterns: Servers released āafter the factā suffered greatly because the waves wanted to be part of the rush, or people settled in and did not want to uproot from the guild/schedule they adjusted to.
I would like to think that wouldnāt be the case.
