Regarding the guilds stopping raiding, bear in mind that thereās always more behind the scenes than is immediately apparent, and you donāt get the full stories in discord posts. Back on topic, the original people who started fresh may have done so for any number of reasons, but that doesnāt mean that those reasons were what kept it going or kept it healthy and sustained it. Agree to disagree on the rest I suppose. Fresh inherently requires that āsomething specialā to sustain it past the sticking points that cause folks to burn out. Emergent gameplay via RP is that āsomething,ā and itās just a simple fact that, for one reason or another, RP simply does not happen outside designated RP realms nearly nearly as much as it happens within them.

See you raise a good point that RP-PvP servers and their likeminded players are just different than PvP server players. They understand thereās a difference between griefing and āmaking a statementā in open world PvP! So glad you pointed that out, I nearly forgot.

Yep ^^ā I think that itās good that people have come to this thread with legitimate concerns, but unfortunately along with these legitimate concerns have come a few folks who seem opposed to roleplayers themselves. I guess theyāre at least providing evidence that the standard PvP realm would be hostile to the community.

100%, and itās why I would certainly try my best on a PvP realmā¦ but I know it would be fighting a losing battle. RP realms will have you legitimately forgetting that people use slurs, standard PvP realms never stop reminding you. Totally different atmospheres.

Youāre right, you do see more campfires set up in RP realms! Just one of the other small things that make them special. Only in RP realms do you get randos walking up to share stories, introduce themselves, and end up long time friends. Thanks for reminding me of another thing that makes RP servers distinct

RP realms being smaller means rivalries do occur naturally! Regular PvP realms often have larger populations and folks blend into the crowd a bit more. Gosh, how could I forget rivalries when so many have been started on the DD RP-PvP realm over the summer Fresh! Keep the good reasons for an RP-PvP realm coming, fellow adventurer!

Really hoping they do include a RP-PVP server. Mostly because the people there tend to be less prone to griefing than a standard PVP server

Well, I will throw my name in the bucket.
I will roll RP-PvP with my guild. So thatās +60 players or so right there. Those world PvP events are just too much fun.
