RPPVP is by far the best server type, as it brings in world pvp, but with mostly well-adjusted humans. Also, another server will mean less layers, and layers are the absolute worst thing for classic wow. Layers are worse than, GDKP, bots, gold buyers, gold sellers, undead rogues camping redridge, etc. Even 2019 Ian Hazzicostas agreed layers were antithetical to vanilla wow.

I started my WoW journey on Sargeras, in 2004. When Burning Crusade launched a pack of my friends moved to Emerald Dream where Iâve been since. RPPVP is a special kind of community. I really donât want to play anywhere else even though war mode and layering really killed a lot of the feels.
Thatâs why adding this server type to classic would be so great⊠no war mode!
Please consider it, Blizz. Iâd be there for sure.

The adventures had when Building a character and interweaving character motivation and gameplay allowed for truly great narratives and will be missed if there is not a realm for RPPVP

RP and PvP are what make WoW, well, WoW. Why not combine the two? Maybe even have a realm dedicated to it?! Would be pretty cool, right guys?

Hey, thatâs not a bad idea! Kind of like how we have realms for PvE and PvP, it makes a lot of sense to have a realm for like-minded RP folks to congregate in a friendly environment where itâs safe to assume that most of the people you interact with wonât have adverse reactions to engaging in RP! Boy that sure would take you out of your immersion if that happened. This only makes sense if you ask me, and isnât much to ask for when weâre starting with only a couple realms off the bat!

I would not mind a single RP and RP-PVP server, since those players want something out of the ordinary. Besides, limiting to one server type of each is a smart idea as everyone has their âplaceâ, and it guarantees faction balance on PVP realms.

Afternoon reminder that DD proved thereâs an appetite for sustained RP-PvP servers even when itâs just a community project, and that we can avoid mistakes made with SoD by announcing it in advance instead of after-the-fact

I just hope that the many, many posts about those gameplay elements havenât drowned out this one. 90 people have made nearly 500 comments here over three days, compared to the months which the original thread had to grow to the size it achieved. That is incredible imo, especially considering that this is a smaller launch than the original classic.
On the topic of the gameplay changes, Iâm personally really happy ^^ was hoping to play priest, so I think both the debuff cap removal and the dual spec are going to be really nice to see.
