TL;DR Raiding is not a focus unless we get enough people who want to raid.
So you’ll most likely be pugging for purples.
Guild Chat is going to be RP only with officer chat being used for OOC chat.
We’re still finding our footing(There’s only 3 of us so far, but that’s pretty good for not really advertising it.)
We’re going to be on the PVP server.
It looks like we’re going Horde, there hasn’t been a formal vote or anything but a consensus was reached with the people currently there. If more people joined up we could check again a day before the server goes up to make sure everybody is happy with everything.

Neat, neat. Do you have a concept for the guild itself, though? Or is it all kind of up in the air because you’re unsure of potentially finding many RPers on a pure PvP server?
Asking because I was brainstorming a guild concept as well, but being honest I would prefer not having to lead one, lmao. I want there to be some sort of RP scene, and if I can’t find one then I try to make one, but I’m always hoping someone steps up first.

the RPPVP community is strong and should be reinforced. Roleplaying on a standard PVP server does not fit our needs and would enable for griefers to be rampant and for us to have struggles with them being problematic. We had Grobbulus and it was great, and we want another realm like it.

I was thinking we likely wouldn’t get a ton of RPers so I was going to use the guild as more of a “pool of RPers to pull from” than a normal RP guild with TotalRP3 sub-guilds within the guild for people that want to do their own thing but still keep tabs on events and such.
Yes please to RPPVP! It is the closest you can get to a truly classic experience.
I spent a little bit of time on Grobb, and a lot of time on Chaos Bolt in SoD (before they so cruelly took it from us). I loved every minute. Both felt like the servers of yore, and I haven’t gotten that anywhere else in Classic.
Phase 1 of SoD was the most fun I’ve had in WoW since original Wrath, and that wasn’t because of the runes or any of the other shinies, but because it felt like being on a 2005 server again—with 2005 players. It attracts the old-timers who want that kind of environment, so we can all find each other.

Honestly, not adding RP-PvP servers is a huge missed opportunity. The only thriving server left in Classic Cata right now is the RP-PvP server, which says a lot about the demand and importance of having one. Plus, with so many roleplay streamers flocking to WoW, you’re passing up a massive chance to cater to a growing audience by not including an RP-PvP server.

RPPVP is the greatest distillation of the magic that made WOW. IMHO, to not have an RPPVP server misses the critical reasons why I, and I believe many others, came back to Classic in the first place. Please consider adding one!

I would appreciate the hell out of an RP server, RPing during active phasing and building a character around the progressing story is one of the things I love the most about fresh servers. Please blizzard the community wants this.

Start connecting with the RP group, I hear they have a discord so you guys can build your community on the pvp server.
The building world was wonderful in classic and this is prime chance for a return. Blizzard phrased that wording in such a way that it really seemed like they were at least considering adding an RPPVP server, so hopefully we can raise enough attention to get one added
