I find that hard to believe.
Believe it or not, Asmond was the one streamer voice who advised all the streamers to avoid the RP-PvP realm. He acknowledged that streamers have no place on that realm as their followers could not be held accountable to the RP genre.
It was Esfand. F Him.

He’s on the PvP Discord so if he switches to RPPVP at this point, its intentional disruption of the community.
(Edit) Another curiosity: What exactly transpired when he went on there? Queues? His followers behavior?

OMG, the SoD Crusader Strike debacle? Don’t get me started but I will (haha).
There was much uncertainty with the streamers as Blizzard refused to announce the realm names in advance. The streamers didn’t know how to coordinate their locus swarm, so after much, much debate amongst them on Twitch, they decided (Esfand the main voice) to choose the 1 RP-PvP realm as that way they can all in advance know what realm to choose, given the multiple PvP realm names were not announced, and there was only going to be one single RP-PvP realm. That was their brilliant , selfish, jerk-off solution to all of them being on the same realm. Disrupting basic RP rules and a decade-old community environment? who cares right? We’re streamers.
On SoD launch, the queue times were sometimes 10+ hours to login. The Grobbulus community obviously had planned on rolling on the RP-PvP realm, but half couldn’t log in due to the streamer invasion and the realm was locked.
Several days later Blizzard announced a 2nd RP-PvP realm, Chaos Bolt.
So we had a choice. Don’t play on the launch or start a toon on Chaos Bolt.
The community was now split onto two realms, with guilds refusing to move from Crusader Strike to Chaos Bolt as they had already settled in.
A few weeks later, the streamer community moved on to whatever their new game was, but the damage to the RP-PvP community was already done.

I think this was very important to put here, as hopefully the developers read this and understand.
And now, I understand, too.
I find it hilarious the naysayers are saying “THIS WILL DIE TOO” when the RPPVP realm was bursting at the seams (yet again!).
And then given Deviate Delight 2.0.
That being said it seems name releases to successfully organize said large communities is VERY important.
RPPVP is very popular and in high demand.

Yep, honestly my largest concern if they do make an RP realm will be whether I can make a Horde character before the faction/server is locked ^^’

People often say that is is nostalgia and it can’t be repeated, but it was. Grobbulus was the continuation of the Emerald Dream RP-PvP community and it did match that time. SoD Crusader Strike as some have mentioned, would have been Grobbulus 2 (or to be exact Emerald Dream 3)
We can do it again. Grobbulus 2 will return to the RP-PvP realm for Classic Fresh Progression, if we get a RP-PvP realm.
Blizzard waited until late in the game to announce RP-PvP for SoD. We don’t have much time. Make your voice heard. They listened going into SoD launch and delivered. They just didn’t predict the streamers would be so inconsiderate. Nobody expected that.

That’s not what the naysayers are saying.
We are saying other servers will die causing blizzard to have to rescue them if more servers are put out.
What if down the road blizzard decides to just merge the 2 servers?
Say you get your RP-PVP server but then later does what they did in sod and offers free xfers off dead realms to it?
That what was the difference in only just making 1 pvp server?
You aren’t looking at the long game, only the selfish needs of yourself and the rp community in this thread.
This has been said by me more than 1 time.
Wow servers always die, they can start with as many as they want, at the end their will be 2-3 that stay populated and blizzard has to get the people on those other dead realms off them.
It’s just short sighted to even ask for your own server.
Imagine being so salty about things that don’t involve you.
But then again, this is your hobby, so it tracks.

You literally have no argument that’s good enough to warrant your own server so you change topics, call people trolls or just say derogatory things about them.
did you play on Emerald Dream in 2010 or Grobbulus in 2019? If you did, please elaborate your argument. If not, wtf are you doing commenting on something that you know nothing about? Don’t do that. It’s not a good trait.

I’m not saying ANYTHING about RP servers, I’m saying what happens to ALL SERVERS blizzard has put out in 20 years of wow.
Which I do in fact have experience on.
Even GROBB took on thousands of refugees from other non rp servers.
You all are literally clueless and change the topic.

Even with an RP realm, there would still only be 3 servers (plus the Hardcore realm). I don’t really feel like you’re arguing in good faith here considering that you’re labeling the RP community as selfish for asking for another chance to foster a good community, but if you are; it’s incredibly unlikely that having a roleplaying realm would affect the standard ones in any meaningful way, considering how popular standard PvP is and how few realms there will be.
