Anyone getting super bored with classic this go around compared to 2019…Idk i guess where its 1 server and loads and loads of spamming bot summon sellers. Don’t recall anyone while leveling where before I recognized people leveling around the same rate. Hate the whole megaserver philosophy

Another RP event that was hard to get traction because of not having a dedicated RP server. Even hosting in hinterlands we still had people on the road to come to grief and when some organizers started posting in chat they just get spam mocked or told to shutup.
Blizzard, this is getting rediculous. What is the deal? Why are you all against having a small RP-PvP server?
Grobbulus was the healthiest server for 2019 Classic. Crusader Strike was the healthiest server for Season of Discovery. Both were RP-PvP servers (until you changed Crusader Strike in a PvP server after having to merge other servers into it)
Give us our RP-PvP server.

You’re 100% right and I know it. But I was foolish enough to resub just so I could participate in this outcry and try to help keep it alive, so I am loathe to give up my voice.
RP-PvP servers have the best communities. Trust me Im blacklisted from most of them. Haha.

Personal experience here: During around the end of original Vanilla, they opened up some fresh servers for TBC hype.
I cannot recall if they started at the same phase, or started with TBC Prepatch (I was young and MMOs were still pretty new to me).
I made a character on Maiev for fun, and the server was pretty alive with new chararacters, guilds, and groups.
The moment TBC released, the server died. Everyone went back to their 60s or characters they had put a lot of time into.
You could search the entire Auction House in under 10 pages or less.
The main cities were ghosttowns, and it was fairly depressing.
The grit of this story is… They’ve already damaged whatever health an RPPVP server would have, but just flat out refusing to release all server types.
The ONLY chance of GOOD server health would be to release them at the same time as TBC Prepatch. If you truly still care for the RP community, that is your chance.
And I am sure it would be fantastic data with the changes Anniversary has received. Collect data on fresh TBC, see how it affects the economy. MANY are waiting for Draenei, Blood Elf, TBC Class love anyway.

Moon Guard was one of those fresh servers opened right before TBC though, and it is currently the most populated RP server in all of WoW. So ya never know…

That truly may make the biggest difference.
Roleplaying fosters a community, and I would say our next goal would be ask for a TBC PrePatch RPPVP server.
Still a ways away, which sucks. But I think its important that we stand our ground, otherwise Roleplay may be gone for good.

My sub ends in 5days…speaking with my wallet. Only way to get anything done. Rppvp server needs made with no gdkp, no bots/gold selling/buying, if caught should be perma server ban. No layers

Same. Two days left. Won’t renew unless an RPPvP realm is added. Not worth the time and effort invested otherwise.

As much as I would so much rather play on an RP - PVP server (which blizz for the love of god look at how popular this MONTH OLD thread STILL is)
I’ve been on Dreamscythe pvp tagged 24/7 and it’s so far by a mile the better experience for RP when compared to the cesspit of nightslayer I’m finding a lot more non-rpers actually willing to engage in good faith for anyone deciding on their server still
The wpvp is okay I normally run into about 2-3 instances of it a day (alliance suck I usually win) and the server’s discord RP events are pretty solid so far

Horde side seems to be a lot more popular for RP based on what I’ve heard

Yes, there are terrible names on RP realms too, but it never gets that bad. People have a general sense that they should keep at least the names somewhat immersive/creative.
If Blizzard actually pulls through with an RPPvP realm, I’ll resub immediately, but I’m not holding my breath.

Honestly having more fun on AoC Alpha and it’s an unfinished game so I just uninstalled since Blizz don’t care about the RP-PvP community.
I don’t know why I came back to this trash company tbh. I had detoxed from wow and just hoped they wouldn’t be able to ruin fresh. Just needed to copy/paste 2019 and couldn’t even do that right. Such an incompetent team with zero talent and too much ego thinking they can improve a game proven to be a classic of the genre.
Hope it continues to fail. Just so done at this point.

I wouldn’t chalk this up to incompetence, it’s obviously a calculated move. All I want to know is why.
What piece of data do they have that we don’t? What are they seeing that we’re missing? What was the discussion like just before they told the community manager to correct the tweet announcing an RP realm?
Whatever the reason— if it’s a good one—then the community will come to terms with it. But to leave us out here in the void with zero communication in the face of a 2.2k post thread on the subject is just kind of disrespectful.
