Lol, how dense. The only way to keep up with inflation is being paid for services. Selling carry services as someone with good parses means you never need to buy g and if you can get up to the minimum requirement to enter a gdkp you can try and roll on cheap/off peices and can generate hundreds or thousands of gold from payout if you play well.
Every system allows someone buying gold to gear faster, they get into SRs faster because they bought all the boe bis, then only need a few peices. Flasks are like 200g or something dumb, people are buying more gold by far than in classic when we had gdkp.
Sure a person coming into a gdkp with huge amounts of gold, either bought or earned somehow, can generally outbid everyone, but even if you cant afford to bid against these individuals you end up getting paid 5% profit rather than nothing for your time. Thus making it a positive gph raid rather than every other system being a gold drain and thereby allowing you to continue to make gold without ever needing to purchase any.
Gold sales are up with gdkps banned.

Which is a big reason why theyâre so upset about the ban. Now they have the risk of their accounts being banned since they feel the need to buy gold directly from gold sellers, instead of second hand through GDKPs.
And that little gnome is upset because he canât rake in the gold in GDKPs from gold buyers. Though now heâs shifted to selling boosts to get gold from gold buyers. And the boosting system is probably even more rampant with illegal gold than GDKPs, since those were mainly just max level chars. Whereas boosting is just a lot more players involved. That should be banned as well.
Actually with some further thought thereâs no way that boosting has anywhere near the gold involved as GDKPs. The numbers in those raids are off the charts. However, there is a big boosting service where people are paying real money to buy boost runs. Iâve seen the discords. Thatâs already against the rules, so Blizz should do something about that. And banning boosting for gold in general should be gone. PlayersâŚjust play the game. If they want to skip to the end, play Retail. Classic should be more about the journey. Attract those types of players.
Anyway, the gdkp ban has cut back on gold buying (despite what the swipers and forum trolls say), and a ban on boosting would help as well.

There is rmt gold in gdkps, just like all aspects of wow that involves gold.
There is also lots of non rmt gdkps.
The amount of gold being sold is thru the roof currently, it really isnât surprising that thereâs so many bots.
