The point is to slow it down to disincentivize the behavior while not removing the ability of the player (the booster) to still clear old content to help lowbies

The pbaoe change you are proposing will not change the power leveling meta. Just make it slower, which is pointless. People will still do it because it is still faster than leveling.

No. as I said before, I want the spells to be fixed and work like the other ones.
Those other mechanics rely on TAKING dmg to give dmg.
consecrate and flamestrike are not used like that.

The front load damage of flame strike should be subject to damage splits. The PBAOE shouldnât.
My point is that at the end of the day⌠it doesnât matter. Boosters are still going to boost.

what do you hope to fix by nerfing mage boosting? get more people in open world? they wont. theyâll buy the boost on one character and then say âwell, i guess nomore alts for meâ
some sort of economy fix? you admitted yourself geared mages will still be able to do it.
all youre doing by asking for mage boost nerf is saying âyoure going to have to level like i did and youre gonna like itâ

The real problem is that Blizzard cannot program or control Human nature at the end of the day. There will always be those for whom âthe ends justify the meansâ. They are the ones who will tell you that it cannot be stealing if there are no police around to catch you. Even if Blizzard tried to program out every known exploit in their servers, I almost guarantee you there would be those peeps who would find another type of one to exploit as that is just the nature of some people. Laziness, greed, and those seeking instant gratification or a way to cheat simply cannot be programmed out of people by Blizzard.
Although I am willing to bet they would be awarded a Nobel prize if they could!!
