If pathing was fixed then we would no longer have at level mages able to solo level in dungeons.
Granted, we will likely always have end game well geared mages able to solo earlier content (i.e. a T5 mage should likely be able to solo farm Slave Pens). However, due to exploiting pathing, which I firmly hold as an EXPLOIT, players are able to solo level as mage in ZF, Slave pens, etc.
Look at the pathing used for level 60 mages to do run boosted in SM Cath, look at the pathing abuse in ZG, etc.
To be honest, I’d rather they just nerf to the ground the xp granted when you are in party with a high level than messing with the pathing. This would kill the boosting meta in I think a better way
While leveling, pathing can be a clever way to solo difficult content even as a warrior, rogue, hunter etc. So messing with this could impact other portions of the game
Please explain in detail how to do this nerf without it messing up proper group exp.
I would argue that so long as the lower level toon(s) are within exp/honor gain level of the higher level toon(s) there should be no nerf to exp. Otherwise, we wouldn’t want a level 60 tank in our BRD runs would we? Then again, this means there is no nerf to exp in ZG nor in any TBC 5 player dungeon.
I honestly see no good way to nerf exp that does not cause harm outside of this intent. However, altering the pathing that people find and choose to exploit does fix this without any harm outside the intent.
Ok but if they are green to you you can charge to solo them through TBC dungeon leveling. Right now green to you would mean still boosting in ZG. this also does nothing to stop solo leveling in solo aoe farms. This is not a pure fix.
