Please fix the mob tagging, the new"boosting" in HC Classic

Feel free to report me for /follow-ing friends and casting Rejuvenation and/or Regrowth on them.

sometimes I cast Moonfire and/or Insect Swarm, too!

Yikes! That’s horrifying!

Why would anyone report you in game for doing that, or did anyone gave you the impression that was any action someone should do?

EVERYTHING I DONT LIKE MUST BE BANNED

This is a very weird quote.
Are you really doing ok?

OP asked mob tagging to receive same treatment as mage boosting, which I also believe is fair.

People are not asking others to be banned. If that is your assessment out of the discussion, it doesn’t seem that you’re very smart, or you’re simply trolling.

Either way, doesn’t look good but you just look like someone trying to ganging up with alts… but losing in all fronts in this discussion.

Let me know when you can lower the interest rate on my 15-year mortgage below its current 2.5%. Otherwise, your empty words have no value to me.

Why do you care at all about this?

WHOA HEY GUY WITH ALTS THIS IS A SERIOUS THREAD.

So you never played with all the super baddies that got carried to 60 by mages in classic? Lucky you because they infested the servers after while and playing with baddies that couldn’t make it to 60 on hardcore sounds like a super good time.

I wouldn’t even go through that extent.
There was a niche for mage boosting which were most people just wanted to go for the end game.

And this is right now what is happening.
They don’t need to be concerned of gold because their guildies are buying tons of gold. Just look at the streamers’ bags. Golds and more golds being thrown onto people.

Most of these players are not farming raw gold, out of concern of dying with their characters.

I still don’t get how someone can be mad at mage boosting and be completely oblivious to mob tagging and people just rushing to level 60 on hardcore.

I don’t think I ever said that these people should be banned for doing it but at the very same time they should just change the XP gain for mob tagging scenarios to be like the same xp shared with high level people.

Will probably cease this practice at once.

Nope. Never did. They’ll be dead in hardcore long before I ever run into them.

How can you possibly say that if they’re getting mob tagged up to 60 and you’re spamming for a scholo group and they send you a message?

Because I don’t make pugs, and if I do I check their gear first to see if they actually survived a dungeon before mine, and aren’t wearing all quest items.

Plus getting to 60 isn’t a sign that you’re good. It just means you haven’t made any serious mistakes yet. Who cares if they get to 60 faster or slower? Good players die at 60 too.

My only objection is if they use real money to buy the gold to pay for the service.

this question really is it…
–not directed at glinda, just quoting the statement made and building off it-----
Are you having fun playing and you see someone helping someone else and all of a sudden you lost fun at that moment of time?

I don’t get it. If it’s endgame they are rushing to, seems like they’d wait a week and play SoD. Hardcore’s endgame is very limited, and it’d be cheaper to pay for a boost to 25 versus 60.

I share your concern about the mob tagging issue on Hardcore servers. It’s disheartening when players exploit the system by tagging mobs and relying on higher-level characters to finish them off. To address this, modifying the XP credit system based on the percentage of mob HP removed seems like a practical solution. Penalizing players who don’t contribute significantly to the kill could discourage this behavior and maintain a fair gameplay experience. I hope Blizzard considers this adjustment to enhance the integrity of the Hardcore servers.

I’m praying to Elune that the season offers more than one of each server type so I can get on a non streamer server. :crossed_fingers:t4:

Curious as to why Blizzard doesn’t just relegate streamers to a “streamer realm”.

This issue is not fixable without making ways to grief people. A high level could follow a low level and just grief them by attacking their mobs.

I also wish it was a fixable issue. I just don’t see any way to fix it without making griefing an issue.

Could you elaborate on this? I don’t see how any solution would result in griefing versus how things already are. There are likely solutions which prevent griefing while allowing group play.
